I dont believe that there is such thing as time-limit for a person to share something personal with one's partner. I guess it all depend on your kind of relationship you have with each other. Maybe he was afriad about your reaction to this news, or your relationship was a bit stressful at that time. I think that instead of blaming your boyfriend for not telling you earlier, it's better if you discuss why this has happened, so that it won;t happen again in the future.

When it comes to relationships, one should be upfront and honest as far as possible. Base of relationship is honesty. Waiting for the right time to discuss or disclose a personal matter can be too late which deteriorates relations.

I am sorry to hear that buddy... Though the situation is not very usual but again consider the pain and shock your partner is going through. I agree he should have shared it before but one month is not that long time. He must have confirmed it or not believed it when he came to go so please forgive him for taking that time. Well that's why I never favour these illegtimate relationships. There is always something unwanted and it can hit you like this in every phase of life, no matter how much time has passed and no matter how much you and your life is changed now. I hope you two sort out everything well.

I don't know exactly what you're asking there, i just know it must have been difficult for both him to tell you, and you to accept it. I was pretty much lied to for 4 months. That sucked a lot to be honest, i personally don't think men can be as open as women. (Or maybe thats just the men i've come across). Maybe you should have a conversation with him about being open. Just don't get angry and overreact at him, otherwise that may be a reason for him to keep it from you.
