Google Adsence Please Tell Me How To Use It

Help I have a google adsence account but for the life of me I dont know how to really use it. I have had it for about 4 months and have it on a site that I have a review posted on but I have only made 12 cents is there someone that can tell me how to really use it. I mean to the best of my ability? I also was wondering what other web pages can I use my google adsence account on. If you have a list of webpages that you can use google adsence on please let me know. I am really confused and when I tried to read the faq's it just confused me more. Is there any one out there that can help me figure this out. Thanks in advance.
