Hello everyone here in our country we have these beautiful places called Luneta Park and Manila Bay, when I was young we used to go there and enjoy the cool breeze from the bay and the beautiful scenery in the park. We sometimes used to listen to band concerts and to view performances at the open theater. Luneta, is a big park with fountains and ornamental plants, faces the bay. Manila Bay has the finest harbor in our country, Tourist observe that Manila Bay has one of the most glowing sunsets in the world. I wish I could have time to do that again. As I observe only few people went to parks, all wanted to go to malls and movie houses. How about you do you still spend time going to parks? What are the famous parks in your place you have visited?

Hi mhethess. I remember when we were young our parents used to bring us to Luneta where we have picnic and stroll in the park. I also know Wildlife park in Quezon City where we use to stay for hours in college days and read our books. Parks in the NCR area now I think are not that safe for young people unless they are with their parents and adults for supervision. I say this due to bad elements roaming around. Here in Sydney, my place is located infront of the park which is also a tourist destination. Whenever the weather permits, I bring the kids out for a picnic or walk towards the beach. I also love Centennial Park here in Sydney where my hubby usually bring me and the kids for lunch in a very good restaurant located inside the park.

I live in Makati. I know these places are very nice. However, with my busy schedule, seldom do I have time to unwind. With today's swine flu scare, I guess it safer to just stay at home.

Yes, my husband and I used to bring our only baby boy to recreation parks. The parks aren't famous. We just want to let our son go near to the nature and introduce to him the tree, the grass, the flowers, the fresh air, the bird, the fishes and etc. We would want to bring to the beach one day but not now. We have not let him take 1-2 hours car ride so far.

waterfall I love - This picture was taken in the fall. It is a three level waterfall that you can hike up the sides to see the rest. It is huge.
I love going to parks. I usually go to a park her called Panther Creek Park. There are hiking trails that I love to go on! It is next to a lake so you can fish or swim as well if you like. I also go to a waterfall pretty regularly. It's beautiful there and my grils like to swim..it's deep enough. Here's a pic of one of my favorite places to go.
