I'm trying to find out what can cause extreme pain in joints. Also swelling, I just had a ton of tests done all this blood taken and x-rays to find out about Rhuematoid Arthritis, (how do you spell that?) They all came back negative. So I want to know what else I could get tested for. I have been in pain off and on since I was a kid. That comes with the raynauds syndrome, but now its so bad that just typing this message is extremly painful

Did you try omega 3-6-9 oil, and there is glucosamin, and enzime anti-inflammatory from " Flora", and what I'm taking often is oregano oil in juice I put at least 6 to 8 drops and it is good for all kind of illnesses it is a hot oil it can burn some when you drink it with a good 8 ounces cup of juice but it will help it is not going to kill you,I'm taking it and it help a lot.

It could be some sort of tendonitis which I currently have and it is really painful, even just typing like you say. I've got it in my shoulder and my hand and finger joints but there is no swelling. It does sound like you have some sort of inflammatory condition. You could try cod liver oil which might help to dampen it down. I've been taking ginger capsules which seem to help and a TENS machine for the pain when it's really bad.

Ginger capsules. I sometimes drink ginger tea for headaches or cramps, you take a teaspoon of ginger in hot water and add a bit of sugar to flavor it. Its pretty bitter but it works wonders, I wondedr if that would also work for joint pain.. have to think about it

The basis for almost all joint problems is inflammation. Dehydration can also be a factor, especially for those with spinal disc problems. But it sounds to me like the root of your problem is inflammation. There are many ways to cut down inflammation. Reduce meat and dairy intake. Anti-inflammatories are fish-oil and Tumeric, glucosamine, condroitin. Eat as much fresh food as possible, avoid processed foods, cut down on sugar. Go to about.com and search anti-inflammatory. Hope this helps.

Sometimes it also connected to genes or somewhat hereditary. Might be that is your hereditary pain coz it started while you are still young. Or else that is your inborn problem try to ask your parents about it. Please refrain from eating beans and other foods that suited for that pain it can also affects the rheumatism. You do some herbal medicines for that to get well soon. Ask some opinions there in your country try not to stick one idea, just get some other opinions for you to be healed.

I can only ask my mum. Dads not in picture and I know nothing about him. Sometimes I wish I did, it would be nice to have a family history on that side.

You could do some research on fibromyalgia. It is a pain disease, but you have o have it in 11 of the 18 pain centers. It isn't very easily diagnosed, but a lot of people suffer from it. I can't think of anything else it could be without more information, but I'm not a doctor. In the end it will probably just mean pain meds and some excercize to help ease the pain.
