How to avoid fatigue while working on computer ?

I have been using a laptop for so many years now. What I observed is that when I spend a longer time (say more than 8-9 hours), my eyes start to pain and after that I don't even feel like watching TV. Is there any way to overcome this fatigue and keep working beyond 8 hours ?

Just blink alot more, but Be careful not to adopt the habit in public so that people think you're trying to seduce them. when staring at computer screen you more focus and your eyes open longer between blinks and you dont know it. also put some visine every other day. don't adopt that habit either, because your eye will then produce less tears because it's getting it externally and then become more dry when withdrawn fom visine. use a higher resolution and get some glasses even if you dont need them. if low resolution when you look away you will see the pixels that make up the screen right before your eyes in a grid mesh. higher resolution make this imprint less noticable. put monitor only as far back as not needed to squint. also if you have antyhing on your face like makeup or something else keep it away from your eye area because it will strech the skin around eyes and make it less elastic putting slight but constant strain on open eyes. also make sure your eyes clean and doesnt have some chemical residue from washing face like soap/cleaners/toners, which might get in in minute amounts after washing face and opening eye. always wash ur face totally without opening eye where possible.

yes i get tired while working on the computer......the best thing i do is that....i put on some soft music while i am working which make me feel relaxed......or if i am doing some intrinsic work then i make a cup of coffee or tea and just sip this keeps me awake and concentrated.......but yes for my eyes i can't do anything....my eyes starts to pain a lot and it start to water.....some time to relax i start playing some game which helps me divert my mind.......and i can be fresh when i start again.....

Try to relaxing your body once in an hour. For eye relaxing, once in 15 minutes, throw you sight to a far away target. Just starring out the window it would helpful. The main problem for people who working on a computer is on their eyes. So doing eye relaxing treatment is very important. By throwing our sight far away eventually, it will giving a good effect to our eyes' muscles and blood circulation around our eyes. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
