The Princess

How did you feel when it cam on the news when Princess Diana died? I was sad. I liked her a lot and she was for the people. She visited and helped out who she could. Do you like the lady her husband is with now? I don't think it feels right with her. I guess its because its not Princess Diana.

Who could not have loved Diana? She was a princess, a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend of the deprived. I had always wondered how she could cradle a poor and dirty baby in her arms, how she could hug and embrace the poverty-stricken people of the slums, how she had made friends with the poorest of the poor in India. I cannot do that. Can you? When I heard the news on television in '97, my legs literally wobbled. Knees weakened, I sat on the floor where I was standing and whispered a prayer for the princess of the people. Diana remains in the heart.
