I 'survived' the switch! Fortunately I have had cable all my life so it wasn't an issue for me. I'm glad that I didn't have to deal with getting a converter box or antenna or anything that would have been necessary otherwise.

I have cable too so its just fine here....I did however buy a new tv for the spare room as mine was brought up to the camper...and I had to have my son come and program it for me as I didn't know how to do it! LOL

We have cable here too, so we didn't have to worry about the changeover. Also, we are in Canada, and I don't think Canada is affected by the digital TV thing until some time next year in 2010. I still have the old TV that my wonderful Dad's family gave me for Christmas in 1993. I love that old TV, and it still works like a charm. I hope it never goes out.

Canada doesn't have to worry about this nonsense until next year. In the meantime, we have cable which isn't going to have a problem anyway.

I survived the tv chance to digital! I also have cable and have since 1988! I didn't have to get a converter box or anything else! When I first heard about the digital change I thought I would have to get a converter box! Then I talked to a friend and I told him I wouldn't need a converter box because i have cable! He then tells me I dtill need one even if I have cable! I didn't believe him and went on line to find out more information! Of course I didn't need a box! My friend was wrong! I never needed to worry!

It was confusing for a while and then all the commericals helped. But I bet there were people who were out of luck. the fun thing to see is the ratings for the new late summer and fall network shows.i have a feeling they will be lower.
