Hello MyLotters, I hope you are enjoying MyLot today because I am! Well, the topic is "Is there something wrong with me?" Well, the reason I made this discussion is because I have been having problems with my body lately. I do not know the reasons as to why this is happening, and I would like to ask the MyLotters here because I am pretty sure you guys are knowledgeable and there are a lot of people here with different ranges in knowledge with diseases. The problems with my body are 1. Flakes- or these things that seem to look like dandruff but isn't. I believe this is my scalp because when I look at my scalp at the mirror I can clearly see it peeling off. 2. Hair is easily falling off- My Hair is easily being pulled off. Every time I'm done taking a shower I can see strands of hair on my body. I believe this is related to the flakes problem. 3. The skin on my nose is peeling off- The skin on my nose is peeling off. I believe this is because I play soccer and its usually hot. 4. Pores bulging on my arms- Well, when I look at my arms I can see spots with pores bulging. They do not look like pimples. As I said above I believe this is from playing soccer under the heat of the sun. 5. Anaemia or not?- Sometimes when I go under the sun I all of a sudden get dizzy and also when I am done watching TV or using the laptop and I stand up I get dizzy. At times when this happens, sometimes I fall. I am also going through puberty right now. Maybe that has something to do with it. I am truly and deeply sorry for the amazingly long post. I hope you read it all. Gaah! Sorry Again! Now I think no one will read this. =C Happy MyLotting if you actually read the whole thing! C=

My dear fellow myLotter, You need to go visit a doctor for sure. 1 thing I can help you with though. In my friends list, you will find "ebook_freak". He is a med student.May be you can add him and get him involved in the discussion or PM him. Please don't wait for things to get worse and listen to your body. God bless!

Hmm, I don't think I need a doctor for this. Maybe these things are just because of the heat of the sun or my bad sleeping habits.

I sure hope so! But then check out your list. Isn't that a little too long? Just go get it checked once. What harm could it do? At least you will know for sure what the issue at hand is.

I am a nurse. Based on your signs i think you are suffering from dehydration. Sometimes water is not enough to supply our body a fluid. You must take medication. seek for a doctor's help.

The hair and skin problem sounds a lot like psoriasis. If you don't get to a doctor and get treatment it can turn out pretty bad. You could end up bald and have red sore like spots all over your head. They have creams and special shampoos that can really help with that. My cousin had it and didn't get it treated quickly. It took her three years to grow all her hair back. The dizziness could be a lot of things. It could just be the heat if your out playing soccer when it happens. It could also be blood pressure or vitamins problems. Even diabetes, you sound pretty healthy, but I'd still have it checked out.

Hey charity! I checked out psoriasis in wikipedia! and it didn't quite look like it. I don't have those red scaly like skin on me. It would be pretty disgusting if I did. Oh! 3 years?? Whoa!! I'm sorry for her and its good that she's all right now. Thanks for responding to this. Happy MyLotting!

Brother, there I can see a few problems that I have been facing. Pores bulging on your arms, and Anaemia. Actually, the reason you think for those pores i.e. by playing under scorching heat, it can be true but my doctor told me it is because of the hormonal change, and due to excessive oil content in the body. He has strictly recommended me not to use oil for my hair or body. Then, Anemia, you are Anemic!! As you also feel dizzy at times when you stand up suddenly. This is due to the lower hemoglobin content in body, that causes weakness and makes you feel dizzy and can even faint you. Consult a doctor my friend, you actually need medication. All the best!

Hey there wizkid, I also think the pores are from the heat of the sun, ever since global warming the days just kept getting hotter and hotter here in the Philippines, I actually use lotion because it actually does minimize the unsightly sigh of the pores. I will try the non-oil products, thanks for the info. Thanks again! Happy MyLotting!

its nothing. you are getting into the teenage life. its all happens. dont worry. everything will be alright within a couple of years. so use the appropriate medicines to overcome these things. consult a doctor. like using herbal oils and shampoo to treat dandruff and so on.

Regarding flakes and falling hair, I think you are suffering from excessive dry skin. Regarding the pores, they may be some kind of rashes or allergy. Like many said before me, go and consult a dermatologist…that is your best option.

I would run, not walk to the doctor and find out what is wrong....If your skin is peeling off then I wouldn't mess around having anyone but a doctor diagnois it for you! Good Luck!

Hmm, A doctor huh? I have been thinking about that for some time now but I never thought of doing it because I always thought of some reasons as to why these things were happening and some of them were the sun, my sleeping habits is off from a normal person's and others.

I would say that you definitely need to see a doctor. The dizziness you referred to in #5 could be a sign of a problem with your blood pressure. As for your hair falling out, I don't really know what to tell you about that, but I would be at the doctor's office first thing in the morning if I where you.

the flaky scalp and hair falling out- i suffer from the same problem. the hairdresser told me it is Psoriasis. although it sounds like a big word it is actually nothing to worry about. she gave me some special shampoo to use and that did clear it up for a while. although it is back it is nothing serious. i suggest you see your doctor as they can give you some cream for that. the anemia symptoms- if it is when you are standing up then it may be because you was sat down for too long and stood up too quickly which makes all your blood rush- resulting in the feeling faint. looking at a screen for too long can also make a person dizzy but a simple answer to that is to take regular breaks whilst looking at the screen. i suffer from passing out and am now waiting for blood trst results to come back to tell me if i am anemic or not but basically try and eat liver and meat and veg and helthy things like that to build your iron levels up. i hope this helped but i suggest you do go too a doctors

Hmm, all right! I'll ask the doctor for the cream! Psoriasis huh? scary.. I think it could be a sudden rush of blood when I stand up that makes me dizzy but I do take breaks a lot! since I'm using a laptop there's a lot of space so I can just go anywhere I do go to the kitchen and make myself a meal as well.

Oh! Hey there Ruby722! Im sorry if I replied too late! I was busy! Anyways, I hope you aren't anemic because that is really bad, I have a friend who is anemic and she faints alot. It's quite sad because we're really close friends. As I have read from other MyLotters who have posted here the best thing to do if you are is eat liver or any food that is high in iron. Happy MyLotting!

hmm...welp, i'll respond to the individual concerns that you listed. 1. the flakes that you think look like dandruff could possibly be due to the fact that you have a dry scalp. perhaps you can try finding a hair care product that conditions and moisturizes your scalp so that the flakes hopefully decrease. 2. however, i also know that if a person has a folate/iron deficiency, hair from your scalp falls out easily. 3. as for the skin peeling off your nose, just try using a good moisturizer and strong suncreen (spf15) to keep the tip of your nose from sunburning. 4. ...i'm not sure about the bulging pores on the arms...but i've seen it on some of my friends before...nothing deathly serious....5.as for the dizziness, im not sure either...but maybe you could be dehydrated...staying amply hydrated is important....and in conclusion, im no doctor, but im a college student, prepharm...and if youre that concerned, you should consider visiting your doctor. [= stay healthy [= ...u could just have a vitamin deficiency....
