I buy fresh fruit every time I shop eveb if it is not at the market. I have a shop five inutes from my house which has resh deliveries daily and I cannot be without fruit so I buy it there regularly. I have stopped buying fresh flowers as they have become more expensive recently and I have many (too many that it seemslike a jungle) potted plants indoors so I am surrounded by plants even without buying them. When payday comes round I always buy myself something special and try not to exagerate and the last two months it was cut flowers. They make the place bright and made it look like summer was already here You are lucky indeed that you have a garden and have fruit there!

That sounds a perfect situation that you have in this economic crisis and you must be so busy too! In order to have fruit and flowers you must work in your garden and the chickens need feeding too - so when do you get time to be here on myLot I wonder?

I love surprising my partner with flowers but I don't always purchase them, I don't really know why. However, anytime I go shopping I have to buy fruits of all kinds. Since I was a kid I've considered them nature's candy. They come in so many varieties and flavors, how could one ever get bored?

Hi, Ice! I rarely leave the market without fruit. There's a huge variety available in Miami, so I vary the "menu" constantly. Flowers are a different thing. I can't stand to watch them die! I look out the windows at the ones that are growing, and, once in a great while, I pick some and bring them indoors. I prefer plants I can keep alive indoors.

Hi, I don't think I've ever bought any flowers when I go to the market; it's often fruits and vegetables. I don't eat fruits, but my husband does. It's usually papayas, bananas, pears, grapes and sometimes mangoes.

I love to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the market and at this time of year it is full of watermelons, strawberries, cherries and oranges. I don't put cut flowers in the house anymore as they are an insect magnet but there are lots of wild flowers which grow naturally outside.

We have a farmer's market right next door to our apartment, where we got every Sasturday morning to get fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and sometimes even flowers. Every time we go to the main groccery store in town, my husband gets me a bouquet of roses from the flower department. He's really wonderful.
