If you had a free trip which destination would you go to and why? Would it be Iceland, Canada or Antartica? These are all cold places so you would have to dress up warmly.

Antartica would be my preferance. There are sight flighfs out of Melbourne, but that wouldn't be the same as being on the ground.

I wonder how much roughly a sight flight out of Melbourne costs. That would be fine for people that are bothered by the cold. A trip by ship would be way more expensive I imagine. Many thanks my friend Mipen.

I think i will choose Canada!!In fact it seemed to me much interesting that other two..i don't know it precisely but the other 2 countries you emntioned as Iceland and antartica don't give me an idea to be so interesting even if they will be also particular seeing their geographical position and so even their single particular points they can give you available in a possibel travel there!! Canda sounds much more hospital and interesting and even there are man places or cities where you can enjoy to visit...

I know that Canada is huge. It might be enjoyaable to travel by train from one end of it to the other, like Vancouver to Halifax. On the way it would be possible to stop off at Jasper, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal for example.

I heard Iceland wasn't actually too cold. That Greenland was the country that was so cold. So it was kind of a rude awakening when people went to Greenland, and it felt like it should have been named Iceland. I'd like to go to Iceland or Greenland.

When my dad was alive he went on a business trip to Greenland and he brought my sister and I back some lovely presents. His photos were amazing. I know what you mean about the names of the countries. Iceland and Chile sound cold, Greenland sounds green.

Not all of those countries are cold. Yes Antartica is but I have visted Canada 3 times during the Summer months and I would not want to be dressed warmly at all! I have got good tans and worn shorts/skirts and t-shirts while I have been there. Iceland also tends to have some warm temperatures during the Summer months, quite close to England temperatures which is where I live. I think out of all of them I would like to visit Iceland as I have never been there and my sister is very interested in the country so I would travel there with her.

I will visit Canada in the summer of 2010 so it probably won't be cold. I guess it is only in the winter time that temperatures are really all that cold. I would expect about 12 degrees in Iceland at this time of the year. You and your sister could have a wonderful time in beautiful Iceland.

I would be good for trips to Canada and Iceland . However, Antarctica would be quite far of as well as too cold for me to be able to survive there .

I am so looking forward to flying to Vancouver next summer. I have seen stunning photos of Iceland and the landscape looks incredibly unspoilt. Yes, Antartica would be very cold indeed.

That´s easy, Maxine. I have a friend I met through internet who lives in Canada. I´d love to meet him personally. It would be worth going to a cold country. As for the rest, I like to see them in TV

I hope that you will visit your friend in Canada. If you go in your winter it would be summer there. Televison is a way to be an arm chair traveler. Thanks my dear friend. Hug.

All three very interesting destinations and also all places I would hope to visit one day! I would go with Antartica as it is the most unusual as a tourist place and also probably the one hardest to get to in terms of cost! x

I only know one person that has been to Antartica and she is a very rich lady. She lives in a huge house and works as a deputy head teacher. I think seeing the penguins there would be really special and quite fascinating. x

Iceland is beautiful. I have seen photos of it. I know that the trip to Antartica would be really memorable and together with your husband you could have a romantic trip.
