starting last week I took my nephew to school and fetched him home after school since my sister cant do this things anymore coz of her pregnancy now I am just curious how many hours in a day would you let your children play if they have class the next day. Well after there class I make sure that he will be able to play with his classmates for at least an hour or as long as he wanted it too coz after we go home it would all be studying and tutor making assignments and stuff then after that he would be too tired to even play well how about you guys how many hours in a day do you let your pre-school or your young ones play.

KIDS need to be let to be kids, So many of them are not. OF course they need to get their school work but other than than that let them play. They need to be taught little jobs they can do but i think they need to have a good time & enjoy life. They will have to be grownups alot longer than they will get to be a child.

Small children like your nephew probably only get three or four hours to play a day. Our children watch a lot of TV and play games on the TV. I don't feel that is the best use of their time.

In my opinion, children should have as much playtime as possible because as children, it is their job to play. As long as they complete the school work assigned by the teacher, they should be able to relax and have enough playtime. Playing helps to strengthen other aspects of his life.

I don't have young ones anymore. Mine are adults. 22 and almost 24 years old. If I were to do it over again, I would not let my children play outside too long. For my son it was not good at all. Personally I think children should be able to play after they finish there housework. But, unfortunately it does not always work that way. I think a time should be set for them to come home, no excuses. If they don't come home on time, one week house arrest. Other wise they will walk all over you. I spoiled mine. My son could look so sad, then I would let him play for another hour. This was wrong of me. He had a hard time , learning to be independent, always looking up to the guys who had easier life's. The wrong kinds of friends. I respect you for looking after the child and caring for him. That is so kind of you. Your sister is lucky to have a brother like you. Take care. Oh, by the way, have you got the puppy you want yet?
