hi friends,
Can you tell how safe are in the world of internet? If you are safe then can you tell me how you browse your internet, i mean with which browser do you browse? I use mozilla and i think many here use mozilla. Using mozilla firefox is the best thing but using the plug-in of an anti-virus software is the most important thing.
How many of you safely search your internet via anti-virus plug-in?

I am also very much worried about security of my computer.
But I don't have any anti-virus plug-in.
Every day I am deleting browsing history before turning on the computer and clearing all the temporary files stored in my computer.
I am deleting all the cookies manually too.
We can just try to be more secured so whenever I know something new I will implement it to keep it more secured.

So you don't have plug-in for your browser. First install it, then see how safe your computer will be. Update your anti-virus software regularly and your computer can get harder to viruses..

I use Opera to browse the web. Currently I don't use a Firewall, even Windows Firewall is disabled. I also don't have an Antivirus.
So no firewall at the moment, mostly because I stick to "well known" sites. And no antivirus because I'm not installing any new software. The software I had previously were virii free.
As long as you stick to surfing at sites that are "big" and "popular", then it's unlikely you will get a virus from downloading from them. Afterall, those sites don't want to be linked to having a virus on thier files.

Oh but this way of brosing is very risky. Do install a well protecting anti-virus to your system which can make your system free from damn dirty online viruses. Even when you surf known sites, there are unknown viruses which are placed on to your system.

Most of the time I use AOL as my browser. I have anti-virus software on both AOL and my computer. I think that it is important to keep ourselves safe when we are online. I have never used foxfire but I have heard of it.

yeah anti-virus softwares solves most of the problems that we face by online viruses. I think having anti-virus alone won't protect our computer, we need to update it regularly for protecting our computer from viruses.

yeah but now we get most of the anti-virus softwares with the internet protection and security plug-ins. These plug-ins will help us in safe search that we browse in the internet. So, do try these..

I always see to it that these sites that i visit are trusted. Also i have my norton anti virus in my laptop and i always see to it that it is up to date from Symantec. All my files like my bank statements and financial reports are stored in removable storage devices and kept safely.

Ohh...sorry buddy norton makes my internet blocked so usually i have AVG which is up-to-date. I have faced too many problems with norton and i think many don't use this anti-virus. I have used mcafee earlier but now i have AVG..
