United States

I'll be attending my first scrapbook convention on the 26th of June. Myself, my daughter and 2 friends will be making the roadtrip to Chantilly, Va. We have never been to one, so we are excited and not sure what to expect, lol. But it will be a fun daytrip for all of us. After we get back that evening with all our purchases and give-aways, my daughter and I will be setting up for a Scrappin' Day for that Saturday. As some of you might have read my other discussion, it will also be a going away party for me, I'll be leaving for Texas around the first week of July, so they all wanted to get together for one more scrapbooking day together. Have any of you ever been to a scrapbooking convention?

Thanks, they have several every year across the nation. I know there is one in Cali. New York, and Georgia. This one is only about 5 hours away, so we figured we would go check it out.

Sounds like a good time for you. I have never been to a scrapbooking convention. I am lucky to get a photo album together.

The scrapbooking conventions are really fun to go to you see all the different kinds of supplies you can get that you don't see in your local craft store or walmart, I started going about 4yrs ago at the my sisters request she said trust me you will like it, we live in sunny florida and we go to 2 shows a year one is in Palm Beach county 10/15/11 and the other one we go to is in Orlando so we make it a disney trip also and another great thing about htese conventions is that you can sign up ahead of time to volunteer and you get paid $40.00 to do it we always sign for 2 sessions so that way we get $80.00 this is the registration fee for each session and $30.00 cash so you get your $10.00 back plus $30.00 we met one girl she said she just comes to work and make over $200.00 doing so but we like to shop but this way we make spending money
