I take the bus to work and off duty also by bus everyday. And almost everyday, there are people who loves their cellphone so much that they won't hesitate using it on the bus. Now, it is not that they can't use it but couldn't they talk softly? Not only thye are talking softly but they are talking on the phones as if both sides of the phone are deaf! And then, there are people who loves to smoke. I know it is their right to smoke but couldn't they make sure they don't just dispose the cigarette everywhere? There are just that many rubbish bins around that throwing the cigarette into those bins aren't that difficult I suppose!? There are more such inconsiderate things that I have been seeing day to day. Have you seen things that you can't tolerate?

Yes, I get really annoyed by people on the bus who start shouting and swearing. One young girl started swearing on her mobile phone in front of some really young children. They were only about 5 years old. I realise you sometimes have to take a phone call on the bus, but you don't need to shout or swear, especially when there are children about. It just seems like some people don't seem to care who is around them. I know swearing is commonplace among a lot of people but I don't think it is right to expose young children to bad language. I also can't stand to see people who throw their chewing gum on the ground or leave it on seats and other places where people might get it stuck to them. Not everyone is inconsiderate but unfortunately you do seem to come across them on a regular basis these days.

Thanks for your reply. They are inconsiderate and thus they don't care who is around. The worst thing is that people these days are being so annoyed of the youngsters not behaving themselves but forgetting who have been setting bad examples for them. Those who accuse others should really ask whether they themselves are behaving well first.

Thats true. I sometimes see older people moaning about younger people jumping queues and then see them jumping the queue the next day. The only difference is that they think it is ok for them to do it because of their age. If one rule applies to one person it should apply to all.

Plenty around me, so much so that I have just started to become a little inconsiderate myself. Consider the bus and mobile thing…buses here in India are very crowded and when you are jostling and pushing your way in, somebody is standing if front of you talking sweet nothings on the phone…you expect that persona to give you space but no…so before I used wait patiently, now I just push my way forward. I think one needs to forget a little about manners and values if we have to survive in the jungle called ‘street’.

Thanks for your reply. This is also the thing I have struggled a lot. There are people out there doing all those things that I dislike. So, should I do the same? It seems that I am the stranger when I try to be myself and behave myself while they are the norm. It really confuses me that is it what they are doing are actually the right things that I am just too naive to think it otherwise?

I hated people who are smoking in public places. And some will even play with the smoke near you. I really hate that person. Some will spit anywhere and even on handles on railings, yucks. Some people are really insensitive and selfish. All they care about is their own happiness.

Thanks for your reply. I always hope that the government really can do something about it by making laws to prohibit people from smoking in the public area. I mean they want to smoke and die, I have no problem with that but I am not going to die because of the second hand smoke.

I agree...although its a common sense to do a lot of consideration on your actions when in public, some just doesnt care. im a smoker before but i dont smoke in a buys. I know how irritating that can when someone smokes and u dont. but then, what can we do when some people just doesnt care what other feels. Ill just have to think that its not gonna last a lifetime..and id be happy when its over.

Thanks for your reply. Of course whatever they do is only for short moments but the problem is that there are just so many inconsiderate people out there that it is like we will meet some everyday.

Oh yes, I have been with people like that. They just have no consideration of the people around them. I just had to be tolerant with them. Some times, I have to walk away from them and sit at a quiet place, if I can find one.

Thanks for your reply. It is really sad that they are doing something inconsiderate but WE have to suffer and WE have to walk away and WE have to tolerate. There are just so many times that I really want to ask them just to tune down their voices for sake of others.

I can tolerate people using phones but I hate people smoking in public. It is dangerous to our health and more likley to cause cancer to the non smokers. There should be law that smoking should be done in private and not in public where the people's health is at risk. What can we do to those inconsiderate people? How can we change them? Being considerate is in nature of a person. Some people are just really ****.

Some people are so damn selfish, sadly we live in a society where it's me me me first and people do things to annoy others whether intentionally or unintentionally. I know what you mean about the loud talking on mobile phones, it always happens to me when I travel by train, whatever carriage I get into I know that someone will get in and start talking on the mobile and they seem to shout and tell everyone else about their business, like we want to know NO!!!!!!! We don't thank you, keep it to yourself, keep it private. I also hate noise as well, we have very selfish neighbours who are very noisy and sometimes you can hear their music in the early hours of the morning, they don't care who they disturb. I have a hard time sleeping as it, but people sadly don't care any more, it's a selfish world we live in.

Thanks for your reply. Sometimes I wonder is it something wrong with our education system that has brought these people with so much downside in their personalities. Just tuning their voice down will show that they are being considerate and it doesn't really hurt what they are doing.
