Did you grow up to be what you wanted to be as a child?

When I was little I used to think about being a teacher, but then I think most little girls think about doing that at one point growing up. Later in my teens I decided I wanted to become either a writter or an FBI agent.
Now I am 35 an am neither an FBI agent or a writter. I probably couldn't have been that FBI agent anyways, as it turned out I have always had a heart issue I didnt know about.
A writter I might have had a chance. But guess what? I never pursued it. Why is it that we want something so badly , yet wont take the steps to actually do it?
Are you happy with where you ended up in life? Did you Grow up to be what you wanted to be?

I am not doing anything remotely like I thought I would do one day. At 44 I am still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up! I used to think I would be a police woman when I grew up and that never happened. I wanted to be a rock star but I can't keep time or sing! I also wanted to be a writer but never pursued it but you are right it isn't too late for that.

How funny, we had two similar goals you and I.
I thought people might think strange that I wanted to become an FBI agent and a writter but I guess its totally normal...lol
I know being a writter can be pursued and when I read some books that are out there right now I get so upset because seriously, some of those authors should retire and let some new ones take over.
But will I follow through????
