What are the most unique romantic things anyone has ever done for you?

Sometimes, there are traditional forms of romance expressed quite often. But then comes those unusual things that are so uniquely romantic, they really leave a lasting impact.
For instance, no one had ever sung to me before, so when a very dear male friend called me on my birthday and began singing Happy Birthday, I found it so touching. He admits he sings off key, waaay off, but he did it anyway...the whole song, and I found it a beautiful thing.
Another time, when I was sitll married and times were happier, my former husband, who always wore work clothes, showed up at our dinner table wearing the tux he'd worn at our wedding...just out of the blue for an ordinary supper at home. That, too, touched me deeply.
What are some of the most unique and touching romantic things anyone has ever done for you?

Now that is a generous way to express romance. I have heard of people naming stars in the sky as a romantic gesture, which I also think is sweet. Thank you for responding. :)

There is soooo much more to each of us than physical attraction. When that is all another sees, it gets empty and annoying. I hope you find someone who sees ALL of you one day :)

How about taking you to the topmost building terrace from where only the blue skyline is visible, stretching his arms wide and earnest and telling you that he loves you?
Np, no one did that for me. But that would be kind of sweet. Most romantic thing? Yes, one friend did sang Happy birthday on phone as midnight struck!

I like your thinking, Mim, and maybe someday someone will do such a beautiful thing for you or you for them. The phonecall, though, sounds very romantic. When that happened to me, it was a new and wonderful surprise!

My Hubby took very good care of me when I was terrible sick, I wasn't going to die but it took a long time for my terrible pain to go away. It was a very romantic thing for him to do and he never complained once.

I must say, that beats flowers and candy. Personal time and effort is truly one of the most loving and romantic gestures we can give a spouse. What a gem he sounds to be. : )

i had a call from someone so dear in new jersey. it was valentines day two years ago. he sang to me the whole song - "my funny valentine" and talked to me for 30 minutes on the phone. the thought touched me deeply.
i dont know why songs are so good all the time. haha

So sweet! I think many people are to shy to sing, especially alone and the whole song. That is why it stands out as particularly special :)
