What's the difference between DDR1 and DDR2?

DDR1 is now phaseout, only few computer stores sell it, but how about DDR2? What are their differences?

DDR2 is 240 pin Ram (that is mainly the number of timers ) so it is much faster than DDR1 that is only 184 pin Ram.
