It's only been 54 years, that gas was .25 cents a gallon. Do you remember that? Wow, what a difference. Our local gas just went up to 2.50 a gallon. What is yours?

Back in 1972 when I was a teenager, gas was .28 cents a gallon. During the gas crisis in the 70's we all said that we would stop driving if gas rose above $1.00 a gallon...yeah right. I'd be HAPPY to pay that now! Here in Florida it's $2.67 a gallon.

Gas prices went up to 2.50 here yesterday. Looks like we will never see that .28 cents a gallon again.

Yesterday (Sunday), I drove home & our local garage was charging £1.05 per litre. The cheapest I saw it anywhere along my 70mile journey was £1.02. At this time of night, the calculator area of my brain isn't functioning too well but, by the time I've converted the GBP into cents and the litres into gallons - I think its going to work out at somewhat more than $2.50 per gallon..... Its probably gone up again by now as I paid 96.99 pence per litre early last week.
