FIVE HUNDRED POSTS
I'm hunched over my keyboard
with a goal of five hundred posts,
it doesn't matter what I type,
just as long as I get going.
My carpel tunnel is acting up,
but I won't let that stop me,
I'll down pain pills and type some more
until my fingers bleed.
I hope to type five hundred posts
and get to the top of the list,
I don't care if I starve to death
with all the meals I'll miss.
I'm seeing smoke, I smell it too,
as I type with lightning speed,
my name pops up every minute of the day
with another post on the screen.
I'm done with yet another post,
it's number four hundred eighty-nine,
I've got to start another one
or I might lose my mind.

Great poem. I must say I love poems too and have started writing some since. mylot is certainly fun, and it's great that you have dedicated this with regards to the 500th posts. I certainly enjoy reading it. Welcome to mylot and you have a fun time being here with all of us.

Wow... That's a very nice expressions you have here clutterbug... I'm sure it was an honest thought pulled out based on your experience here... You were kinda had a talent on how to express your mind in to a word to share with the world... Keep it up dude...

Thank you anangf, I don't know what came over me, maybe a full moon or something, but I'm in a creative groove these days. I have to take advantage of this because it doesn't last long for me. Thanks for stopping by to read it.
