Who among you eats often in a restaurant or fast food chain?? I have noticed that most people choose to eat in restaurants or buy food from fast food chains than to cook food for themselves..I mean ofcourse I know, most of the times I'm one of them...in the restaurants and fast food chains, you can choose alot of food and almost everyhting seems to be really delicious..you don't have to cook and you even save time...no messy kitchen and no buying all the ingredients,it's all prepared and ready to eat...I could almost imagine myself now eating anything I want in my fav resto.. Meanwhile, there are still people who choose to cook food for their meal even if it takes alot of work and time..some people think that it's not safe to eat in restos or fast foods...some people think it's dirty and you don't know how they cooked it...in some cases this infact is true...some restos doesn't have proper cleanliness or sanitation in their kitchen...their food might be delicious but you don't know how it's amde and what's really in there.. So people, which side are you?

I'm still prefer to eat homecook meals because it is more nutritious and less calorie. If you don't have time to prepare food at home I think you should choose a restaurant that serve healthy food. Fastfoods as it names implies it is prepare fast, the fastest way to prepare food is frying so fastfoods is high in fat and in calories. Which it is not good in the heart and to our diet.

If I had the money I would probably eat out a lot more than I do now, not because I am lazy but because I enjoy sitting with my family and enjoying a meal and not having to be mithering about coooking it then cleaning up after. I do wonder about what goes on in some places with regards to how clean the kitchen is etc, but that is mainly because I watch the tv and see those programmes on it! At the moment we cannot afford to eat out often, its usually about once every couple of months that we can afford a meal out.

I stay outside most of the time and I am used to have the fast food or food in the restaurants which are my favorite. I prefer the foods in restaurants more than the food at home sometimes but if i have to choose from both then I will go with the food at home which cannot be compared to other food. I trust my mom's cooking and she is a really great woman in the kitchen, she is the one to explore foods in all styles and to offer you, so the food at home is the best to me.

if i am capable of eating everyday outside then why not..of course you can save a lot of time and less kitchen work...but its not practical for average people..it is more advisable to have your meal at home so you can save more ...

I mostly cook from scratch at home, this is mainly because with 2 children it is not always practical for the whole family to eat out. I enjoy restaurants and some fast food outlets as they give me a break from all the work involved around a family meal but sometimes we have found that take-away food doesn't taste as nice as home cooked and I can adapt recipes so my children find them more approachable. My older son has special needs and can be difficult with food, this can make eating out potentially stressful too. I do not worry about the sanitation of food outlets unless the serving area is dirty in which case I would not be in there anyway. In England we have rules about such things and although they may not always be adhered to I like to pretend to myself that it is wonderfully clean with caring people making my meal.

Home cooked meals because fast food restaurants are not always that clean or that healthy.

There is a third option. You can buy a microwave dinner. It is more like a home cooked meal but you just heat it up. That;'s what I usually do. I can't cook and I don't get out that often to a fast food restaurants so I get frozen dinners by Stouffers and Marie Calendar. They taste good and they are more like a home cooked meal than fast food.

I always like home cooked meals better, safer and they also cost less too. Home cooked meals are healthier and they usually taste better. We don't usually have much time to prepare our food these days though so we end up eating out most days of the week. However, we try to cook our own meals at home as much as we can.

well I am a foodie, and i love to eat food.....there are some food preparations which i cant really prepare at home, like barbecue.....i live in a apartment so it is virtually impossible for me to do that......so i visit restaurants to have some......I usually prefer home cooked meal......i visit restaurants just to have a small little snack or just to taste something.......i 100% prefer having my regular meals at home for reasons of my own......I usually visit restaurants during weekends or if i have my day off.......but yes i agree most of the food that we eat in restaurant and fast food corners are not prepared so hygienically.......you never know what has gone into it......so it is better to restaurant as your last option for meal......

I definately prefer cooking my own meals for myself and my husband. Not only is it cheaper in the short and long run but it's also WAY better for your health. Most fast food and restaurants use soo much sodium in their food to preserve it longer, also there are soo many preservatives in those foods that AREN'T good for you! Just think of all the additives you are eating when eating out at various restaurants or fast food joints! Where as if you cook a home made meal, you know exactly what you are going to be consuming, and what benefits you will be getting from your food! Good luck, happy eating

I'm the home cooked meal side. When you look after your meal it is properly cared for and well cook meal that is prepared by you is also healthy. There's no need to worry, whether the meal was prepared in a messy state - if is washed properly - cook properly or having all the ingredients especially your garlic? A home cooked meal is always the best to one's health. In terms of fast food chain and or restaurant, Fast food is for people who don't want to cook, if you notice people who like to have fast food is obese. That's too much junk, that's the main reason why meal that are prepared at home is the best fo the human body. restaurant is similar to home cooked me and it is cooked, but on the other hand. How well was it prepared?

Well, many people prefer fast food because they do not have that much time on their hands, but when you compare fast food versus a nice, home-cooked meal, well, the answer is somewhat obvious. Eating is not just about fulfilling your necessities. Eating is also nourishing your mental health, so the more often you eat food that you prepared yourself and that makes you feel good, the better you will actually feel. This is not to mention the health aspects of it. Most fast food is very greasy and that is what basically gives it its taste. However, some restaurants sell good and healthy food, so in that case, it's all a matter of personal taste.

i prefer a home cooked meal since i know how the meal was made and i know where the ingredients came from but sometimes, it gets boring. That's the time we eat out. as much as possible, we eat at restaurants because we can say that it's still feels like home cooked with just a touch of elegant plating and decorations. we minimize eating at fastfoods because of the preservatives.

I choose home cooking over restaurants and fast food. The #1 reason is the price. I can feed my family of four for the same cost as one meal at the restaurant. I also believe that I can cook healthier meals at home.

hmmmm I take restaurants and home made meals! I like to have dinner at restaurants once in a while to try different food and I like to cook as well because I like to try different cooking and cook for somebody that I like. I know it is not healthy to dine out a lot because they have MSG and what not, who knows. So eating at restaurants once in a while is okay, homemade food is always the best. That's what I think.

This is a problem that is generating a lot of controversies among several families especially parents against their kids, some kids are so obsessed with eating outside and getting fast foods quick but parents want them to eat at home, these two food makers should rather complement each other and should not bring disunity among families

home cooking. due to the fact i work in a restaurant, and have worked in many. dont worry sanitation is not the problem. the problem is that the elements are 'prep'd' sometimes 3-5 days before the customer orders the meal, then it placed together. At home everything fresh, everything that that goes into your meal is what YOU chose to your standards.

I am a combination of both! Regularly, I cook at home for our regular meals. I love preparing food for my family. For my husband and son for that matter. In that way, I am sure that I am giving them the proper nutritients and balance meal. Now during special occasions or in cases where we have something to celebrate, we eat at restaurants to treat ourselves.
