Would you accept a job which is not your line but pays high?

I am being offered a job that is too challenging for me as it's totally out of my line. I have no experience and my course was not at all anything related to it. It's more of marketing and very complex. The offer was real good especially considering that I am not even experienced to do the task. But the employer believes so much in me so he insisted that I accept it. Basic salary is way above regular plus there's going to be bonus for each successful proposal. Indeed, an offer hard to resist. Problem is, I will need to learn a lot. My fear is, I might hurt their business if I take the offer. Like going back to school. If you were me, would you accept the challenge?

there is nothing wrong in accepting a job which is not your line but pays high . because as of todays trend the line which your interested doesnt matter only money matters .so when you give importance to money definitely one will opt for the job eventhough which is out of his line and moreover where ever we go we can learn many things new even if you are in your favourite job . the same thing you gonna do in this new job . what s wrong in accepting such challenging jobs . life is ful of challenge . face it and enjoy it by exploring .

money is not the only criteria for selecting a job.you can accept chanlleges all you want in ur life but it must have some meaning.you can learn new things by taking up a job that is not in ur line but there a a lot of things you need to consider first.you must get a job satisfaction.also you must not be stressed.a job that pays high will definitely be one that is very stressful.

Yes for many Money matters and we need to compromise upon many things because of money. But for the people who are well to do and who are content with what they have and money is not a criteria for them, then the Work satisfaction that comes into play pretty much. If you have the work satisfaction, then you wont feel the stress upon you. But if you just work for money since it pays you high, then Stress factor comes into a big role and if you are over stressed, then Money cannot compromise for that over stress factor. Hence my view is, it depends upon the people's preferance whether to get compromised for money or it is the work/ job satisfaction that comes into the forefront. According to me, I shall settle down with money as of now and once i get them, i would opt for Work satisfaction. Happy working and earning to one and all over here at Mylot.com

To give my opinion in a nutshell, I would accept for the Job which pays high but still it is not in my work line just because of the fact that I need money to fulfill my certain commitments and once i fulfill them, then I would go for work satisfaction and at that time, i would never even think about the money and high paid jobs. Work satisfaction will come into the forefront for me at that time

If I were younger, I would take the challenge. Marketing is something which depends more on the personality. When you have been recognized as full of vigure and creativity, you will for sure make it. The basics of marketing and the related technology about the products and service are what you can make up in the process of actual projects. In short, I would fully support you taking the challenge.

Depends upon what kind of a job if the job is well similar to my line or if iam having some idea about that job i will surely choose the job which will pay me high then my job of line. Most of the people are not joining the jobs because they like to work with that jobs but they only join to earn more money to fulfill their and family dreams.

i may give it a try. but if i feel that i could not do it i may not accept it. but i will see it or think it through. cause the pay is quite enticing and tempting. i agree with you you may want to take because of the high pay.

I think if I were you I would assess first myself if I could rise to their expectations, if I could really learn and do my best and if it is a step by step process. But if not, if I think that work is not my forte or not in my heart to learn, I will not take it because I might disappoint them. even if the pay is much higher than the ordinary. I'll better do not take chances. Godbless to your work. I hope you'll decide which one is the best, to study or work for a while.

This is a very hard decision. If I were you, if I'm not confident enough that I would do my job I would not accept the job. But if you think you can go for it!

if u take a look around then u will find large group doing what they dont want.. viz a begger is begging but he dont want to do so. a man is a waiter in film but he wanted to be a hero... a girl giving hot scene in film but she wanted to marry a rich man and spend her 0wn life without work and so on.. so the case is if u r educated and the job given to u is good then whats the problem, cuz u r still better then those above.

Yes, accept it! As long as someone believes that you can do the job, give your best to let them know that they he/she is right that you can do it. Anyways, you can learn what you need to learn about that job. Good luck!

with a high rate of unemployment nowadays, you're very lucky to have such offer although it's not in your line. your employer believes in you greatly, learning the tasks can be challenging but it's doable. with hardwork and patience i know you can do it. I'm currently unemployed and i find it hard to search for a job. i'll be very greatful if i find one even if it's not in my line.. at least i have something to do and i can help pay the bills in our house..

I would say "take it". if they have confidence in you, you should have confidence in yourself to do the job. Take lots of notes and learn as you go.

Hi, I would love to enjoy my job and not work for it just because of the money. I love a job that has a high challanging environment and saying so love challanges in life. I feel living without a challange is useless now-a-days. I treat money secondary. I dont compromising on the income if the job is really good and challanging too. Larry Nicholas ==============

Yes, I will accept the offer. As what you've said it will entails hardwork n your part since you have to "learn a lot", it means you have to double time to learn everything about the business. Just have faith in yourself. If other people have given their trust/faith on you why can't you give the same on yourself? There's no harm in trying.

If I were you, I would definitely accept this job abd the main reason would be the high pay. But it also depend on the job scope that is going to deal with. If I know that for sure I will not be interested in certain kind of job (for example sales), no matter how high is their pay I still will not accept the job. Take this chance to learn something new and who knows you'll find that eventually this is where you interested in. Good luck and all the best!!

Go for it!!!!!, people go into jobs all the time without experience and learn when they are doing thejob. Life is too short to think what if??, just always take whatever comes your way and go for it with all you have :-).
