Hunting for a job, easier or difficult in 2009?

We've been experiencing a worldwide economic crisis since last year, which has greatly influenced the job market and posed a big threat to college graduates. Here in China, it is estimated that around a million graduates won't be able to find a job in 2009, and the government is taking measures to solve this crisis. As for me, I graduated last year as a postgraduate and experienced much hardship in finding a job. I wanted to be a college teacher, but everywhere I went, I was informed that postgraduates were not accepted in colleges. It seemed as if only doctors were allowed to work in a college. I was greatly discouraged during that time. But anyhow, I managed to find a job in one college finally and now I'm working here. I have to admit I'm a lucky dog. A few of my classmates are still unemployed now. What's the circumstance in your country? If you are newly graduated, what are you going to do with the job-hunting hardship?

I think it's gotten difficult. Well. Times are hard. Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of jobs are posted on the Internet. However, most of them never match my qualifications - at least based on my experience. The matches I get from job sites are quite poor. I wouldn't mention which industry offers the most number of jobs. Most of the job offers I am getting right now are from my network of friends and former colleague. I guess I just have to be a little more patient. Goodluck to us!

I found them okay before, that was four years ago. However, with the rate they're going right now and with the matches that I have been getting, I think I am about to agree with you that they're unreliable. I actually feel bad because I even paid for a Priority Application for this Job Site - sad to say I am not getting my money's worth.
