On the Drudge Report there is a story about ABC going to report from inside the White House on the 24th of this month to help with a propaganda puff piece infomercial for Obamacide, I mean, his health care proposal. Of course the Republicans are shut out and won't be able to present their side of this important debate. Folks, if this gets passed, you won't be able to get life saving drugs such as for breast cancer, transplants, etc. Social medicine doesn't work, especially for older people, who the goverment will want to just go home and die. My husband's brother in law, who lives in England, has had a bad chest infection for four weeks now, and can't get in to see a doctor. He is seventy years old, and what is a simple infection for someone in their twenties can become fatal pneumonia for someone his age. I wondered why there were so many 'herbal' shops in the towns I visited with my husband, and that's why. People there are so desperate they have to 'doctor' themselves. It's so sad, but true. Life saving techniques will be culled by the government, deemed to be too 'expensive'. And all the while the charlatans in Washington D.C. won't give a damn because their health care will be different from yours, of course. Their philosophy is 'Let them eat cake..." Oh, wait! Obama wants to tax sweets, so I guess we won't even be able to eat that shortly, lol.

Why can't the two sides get together and get it done properly? I didn't know we elected a bunch of 10 year olds!! Oh, and if someone responds by saying its either the democrats or the republicans fault, well, that's exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about.

I would just like to see both sides represented, but ABC won't allow it. They have denied requests from anyone with a different plan or an opposing viewpoint or anyone who is a Republican to be on the program or to present any opposing views.

This is a disturbing trend but one we have seen in evidence since the election - The Media as mouthpiece for the administration. The press has the duty to present both sides but ABC has denied requests from those with opposing views to be included in the program. Obama's health care plan is not the only one out there, and the citizens have a right to hear about all the choices before they urge their congressman to support one or the other. It's tantamount to the media only reporting on the actions and views of one candidate during an election year... oh wait, they already did that... The hard sell is the point that should make people wary. The rush, the hurry, the hard sell and the warning that we must act now or it will be too late! The whole thing reminds me of a used car salesman's pitch, or one of those TV infomercials where they urge you to buy one and get two free but only if you act today! Anytime someone is rushing you to a decision, they want you to make a bad decision. In this case, they don't even want you to know the alternative choices.

Obama doesn't want to hear the other side. He's probably already got our National Health Care cards printed.

I've heard it theorized that this health care "reform" is targeted at baby boomers--the point of it all is to get the boomers out of the way so the younger generation can pay off the national debts without having to pay social security, medicare and other costs associated with old age. I can totally believe that. One good thing, since PrezO started all this health care "reform" talk, I've dropped several bad habits and become healthier than I've been for years. My good health is my first line of defense against the coming socialized medicine. And it will come, because most of the people are good government citizens that want a nanny state to take care of them.
