Could any one of you tell me the download link for windows xp service pack2? I tried some locations and found the size of the file is small and about only 200-300MB only. But it is about 570+MB in my CD which is corrupted and my system is not detecting anything from the cd and it is showing 0(zero) byte as used space. I have 4 such CDs and none is detected by my system and only I am getting blank screen if I browse for the content of CD.So I think all are corrupted. Please let me know the download link so that I reinstall my OS.

Well 200-300MB sounds about right for the compressed service pack. The sizes of files shown on a CD is quite deceptive because it show the uncompressed file sizes, when in reality a CD contains a compressed image.

Yes.it might be the fact. Once download is completed, if we try to run the file, it is extracting for some time and then only the programs starts to install. Thanks for your kind information.

I got mine from microsoft.com, but I am not sure if they still offer it. That was less than a year ago, when I had my hard drive redone.

Here service pack 2 is not available and only service pack 3 is there. Also the size of the file seems to be too small when compared to the bootable disk size..Thanks for your assistance and response.
