Can you forget your worries and enjoy some lighthearted moments?

When we choose not to let distressing outer-world concerns interfere with our ability to enjoy our leisure time, we are better able to relax and unwind after a long day’s labors. Many people cannot put aside their feelings and can never escape the anxiety of their lingering worries. Putting aside our troubles during life’s lighthearted moments allows us to fully take part in the fun activities that are a part of our everyday experiences and to derive a real sense of contentment from our free time. Though our troubles will no doubt still be waiting for us when the fun is over, the time we spent enjoying ourselves will have prepared us to face the challenges that still lie ahead. It is very necessary for us to take some time to embrace all that is carefree, for it will establish a lasting mood of good cheer in our heart and mind that almost nothing can disperse. Do you agree?

Yes,I agree.Sometimes we should stop the fast rhythm to relax ourselves. The life stree makes us busy all day and even have a time to smile. If we want to keep a good health,we should slow down.Be lighthearted to face evervthing and don't worry too much. Then the comfortable life will be close to us.

Well anything can happen, don't be afraid. Maybe that will happen to you, maybe it wont. You never know what will happen and if it happens you will either get better or not. You cant make that choice. Don't live your life being afraid of what might or might not happen. Live life not for tomorrow, Live it for today.

Hello dear Pose. To some degree, I am quite like my father who can forget worries in a moderately easy way though sometimes it lingers around me for some days. I have discovered that one of the best ways on my side is to talk about those problems I have met in life and work with my best friend and my family should they arise. It is helpful to relieve our stress this way, otherwise we will be burdened too much from it. Life is short. There is no reason for us to be disturbed by these worries for anyone who wants to enjoy his life to the full. Of course, ways may vary to enjoy some lighthearted moments like listening to music, taking a short trip somewhere, participating in some sports and such. They are helpful to ease our burden and worries for us to enjoy our happy life again. Thank you for the discussion, Pose.

I agree. I used to work all the time....since we have bought a camper I have learned to relax. No computer...no phone (well the cell) and it's just so nice sitting out in the sunshine though I will say it makes me very very tired! LOL

I enjoy a good laugh and always feel better after one. It's to bad that we take ourselves so seriously. Bill Cosby has always been able to make me laugh, I use to listen to him when I drove to and from work sometimes I would be laughing so hard I'd have to pull the car off the road. But I'm sure it made me a much nicer Boss at work and a nicer Wife and Mother at home.

Hello Pose, I agree with what you posted. It is good to put aside the worries when we want to enjoy some time. I know an office mate of mine who would bring home her reports and her work and even her worries she experience at home. Thus, she don't enjoy the time when she is at home. As for me, whenever I arrive home, a kiss and embrace from my four years old son would just make my worries disappear for some time. I would enjoy the moment I am with him and think of nothing. If it's family time and unwinding time, I don't ever think of problems just happy thoughts always.

Yes I do make an effort to let go of those worries. It is a good way to gain focus again on what are the important things in life. One way I also do is to engage in discussions here in myLot. This is good way to see that others also feel the same way like you do. This is good too as a way to vent out your feelings. Once in a while I try to be childlike in my ways and in my thinking. We know children do not have worries like adults do.

This is one thing that is so hard for me to do. Whenever I have a problem, I tend to be too overwhelmed by it that it consumes my emotions and thoughts. Fun becomes aloof because of this. Although, I know that this should not be the case, it's just so hard to control my emotions from affecting my mood. I hope to learn how to manage things, y'know. But, well, I am work in progress and maybe one day, I can master this one.

Unfortaunately I cannot. I wish I could forget my worries when I'm enjoying in some activities or some moments... It is difficult for me not to think about my worries and let go about it, once something happen, I just think aobut it over and over again until the problem is solved...

I agree. I am guilty for I am one of those worrying type of person and had lots of things going on my mind and dont know how to relax. I am trying I know I am but try as I may there are certain things need to be done and things to do always busy and no time left to enjoy. I forget the word enjoy the moment I know my responsibility in life and learn that one must struggle to survive... I know that it is a bad thing to do something too much thats why I am fighting to set free from all the worries and just enjoy at least 1 hour a day. even in my sleep I wont be able to have a good sleep this things affects everything I do I know its side effect and still try to figure out ways to control it and relax. All I need is to organize everything and stick to the schedule then I guess by then everything will run smoothly. One of this days I will be able to achieve this then I could relax and just enjoy what life has in stored for me. have a great day my friend

Hi HelScream, Thank you for commenting and I'm late in getting back to you as I have been away for a couple of weeks. I hope that you will find the time to relax very soon as so many people keep saying,"I'll do that someday" and end up not doing it at all. Life is short and we need to find some joy in living. Blessings.

I most definitely agree, although I see it from the other side too. Depending on the severity of your worries, it is very hard to let those go. Over time, hopefully, those issues will be resolved and those that suffered them will be able to move on, relax and enjoy life again. I am one of those people that tends to hang on to worries. However, my husband is completely the opposite. His motto is "I have no problems." If he has a problem, he solves it as quickly as possible, and he moves on. He is almost robotically methodical about it. He is the most content, happy person I've ever met. He's always in a good mood and always happy. I have A LOT to learn from him. I'm very glad to have him in my life. He has already taught me a lot about living in the moment and just not "petting the sweaty things" (that's a Carlinism!) and enjoying life! I have changed a lot for the better because of him. But I still have a long way to go to reach that carefree nirvana world he seems to be living in.

Yes I agree we need to put our problems aside and relax. By doing this you will come up with a way to solve our problems. Some of the worries can never be solve so we might as well enjoy sometime while we are here.

I agree completely, but it can be a hard thing to do:S Worries keep floating into my head even when I try to keep them out. They even get into my dreams! I have been out of work for almost three months now and I can't stop thinking about it no matter how I try not to, and even in my sleep I dream about doing stupid jobs or dream that I came up with a great business idea that turns out to be really stupid:S

Hi karly, Thank you for commenting and I understand your situation as I too was once out of work for several months. Keep a positive attitude, although that's often difficult, and remember the good fortune of others only makes one less person to compete with the next time. There are really no stupid jobs, just be grateful for everything. I wish you well and believe that you will find thar right job very soon. Blessings.

I agree with you. I think we should do the same thing when we are worried about something. We should try to do something so that we can establish a true smile and make those moments memorable rather than sitting in some corner with some worried face. Whenever I am worried about something I am sitting and thinking about it seriously. On the other hand sometimes I want to forget about those worries and find something else in which I can get involved easily and make myself busy.
