From the what the...files. A teen age girl goes into a tattoo parlor and claims she asked for three black stars to be put on her face. She claims she fell asleep, and woke with a constellation of 56. Some of the stars are solid black. Some are star outlines. * http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/06/16/article-1193384-055C9550000005DC-724_634x358_popup.jpg

if that's true, that tattooist should have their licence yanked. never mind the fact they did unasked for work,i don't know any tattoo artist that would work on an unconcious patron.you have to be awake and/or sober.

Frankly, we don't have, in this story, the tattoo artist's take on this. There are some dodgy artists out there, but most will only do what is requested less they get their socks sued off.

what the heck did she want 3 stars on her face for - weird! and HOW do you go to sleep when they are sticking needles in your face? I think she's lying and once she discovered the cost (or her parents found out) she's making excuses

That's what I was thinking. I've never heard of a person snoozing through needlework like that, unless they were stoned off their marbles. If he or she were that stoned, I would hope that the tattoo artist could tell their 'canvas' was stoned...

Wow!!! I actually think that it looks pretty neat. But if she only wanted three stars, she's probably pretty upset. Not that I'd blame her. I hope the artist who did it is going to have to cover the cost of removing it if that's what she decides to do. I have no idea how anyone could fall asleep while getting a tattoo. I can't even handle a little needle for bloodwork nevermind hours if it for a tattoo.

If the artist was under the impression that was what she wanted he was not liable as some teens do want extreme work. If she is of age at the time of tattooing and she signed a consent form, she is out of luck. It depends on the law in her location.
