Facebook: Why is it Farm Town is so addictive?

i cant figure out why im super addicted to it.. im a city girl that freaks out if i am near a farm and not in the city but i like the lifestyle type games where you have goals to meet such as like games like diner dash and etc.. but yeah if it wasnt for farm town i wouldnt even log into facebook lol

I often wondered about that myself lol. I'm on Facebook too, and I'm always getting asked to play it and swap stuff. My one friend is really addicted to it. I have yet to play it...I'm too busy playing 'farmer' in real life on a real farm hahaha. I haven't accepted any offers to play it with my friends though. It looks like it might be fun, but I think it'd be too time consuming. Virtual world type games don't really interest me much. Plus, if I'm going to play something I can do in my own spare time, like JoyWords, TextTwist, or something I can just do when I feel like it and I don't have to rely on other players.

Maybe because the game itself is addicting..? I mean there are a lot of good games out there on different websites but the game being on a popular social networking site gives it more exposure so more people will at least try the game once. Having seen that the game is good, they tend to play it for another time and before they even realize it, they have become addicted to it. I dont have a Facebook account and Im not planning to create one. Though I have seen what the 'inside' looks like cause a friend logged into his account while he was using our internet connection. Ive taken some of the quizzes using his account and we did play Pet Society and Restaurant City. Im really curious as to what my other friends and classmates found in Restaurant City because they're always raving about it. Well, that 'addiction' is just one of the reasons why I wont create an account.LOL
