Ipods are amazing

I started another discussion and it led to this thought. Isn't it absolutely amazing the technology that we have today. Just think, only 20 short years ago, computers weren't even in every home. Today there are sometimes 2 or 3 computers. With that came the invention of MP3 players and IPods. I love my Ipod. I carry it with me everywhere I go. Isn't it absolutely amazing that such a little thing can carry so much music. I remember when the only thing we had to listen to music on was record players and you couldn't carry that much music with you. Now you can carry your whole colleciton of music, no matter how big, in your back pocket. Try that with a boom box!!
What do you all think about that? Do you remember when that was the case? How does the use of Ipod or MP3 players play a role in your life?

I love my Ipod and honestly I don't know how I ever lived without it, lol. I take it everywhere with me and if I forget it I have to go back. I remember when I thought discmans were the best thing ever.

Haha, yes, I think we all thought that the discman was the greatest thing going down the pike. Actually, I guess back then they were. They will still much easier than carrying a boom box around, but you still had to carry all of those daggone CD's everywhere.

ipods are really amazing discovery by apple...they are handy and are real players that will facinate all the teenagers...great to hear songs in them...only negative is that they dont have bluetooth and the headphones they provide is not that good...otherwise it tops everyones gadget list..

Yes, the earphones are horrible. Especially on the newer models. I don't really care about the bluetooth cause I don't use that anyway, but the headphones do need to be better considering how much money we spend on the Ipod!

Ipods are amazing and I totally agree with you.
Music alone plays a big part in our daily living.
Music can make us happy and help chase the boredom away.
With this little piece of gadgets you can live in the
top of the mountains with only your ipods for a companion.
Just kidding.

OMG i agree completly i remember i use to have to carry a cd player on the plane and i add to bring a big bag just to carry all my cds it was crazy now i have one and it like a like card that plays music I LOVE IT. All of my friends think i'm wirred that i like the ipod classic better then the ipod touch, i think the touch is ok but i love the classic to me it much money fo the lil 8G they have and i think i will brack it soon but idk if i will by it if it got big Memory but i love my classitc :)

Yes, I love my classic as well and got it for the same reason, not enough memory for the money on the touch as far as I am concerned. Thanks for the great comment, have a really fantastic weekend.

ROFLOL some people used to do just that with a boom box! I saw someone walking down the street with one not that long ago and thought I had stepped in a time warp.

Yes, I totally agree, I got an Ipod Touch 16 gigabyte, and when I saw that sucker, I feel in love with it! I also started a blog, so I could tell lots of others about it!
My blog consists of what is good and bad about the Ipod Touch, and what Applications I use the most, and why I like it, and such.

Thanks I will check it out. I can't beleive that I have over a thousand songs on my Ipod and that I can still put thousands and thousands more on it and never have to worry about getting sick of the same old song. Great for travelling in the car because you don't have to fumble with a bunch of CD's or flipping the radio staion!! I have the 16GB classic, but touch may be the next venture :-)

Heck, I remember when the transistor radio came out and everyone was carrying those around with little earpieces--no headphones back then, you got it in one ear or listened so everyone had to hear it! We were all amazed at how small they could make a radio, it was only the size of a small paperback novel!

Oh I remember those little guys haha, man we thought we were the stuff when we had one. And eight track players too, haha. Gosh, we really did come a long way!
