Hey guys, I never ever believe that there's somebody who don't know how to sing as long he/she is in their sanity. I mean, yes, I know some people who really don't sing in the middle of the crowd, on their friends or even in front of his/her only friend. But, I never believe he/she can't sing even on her mind,or on their own selves. Most often than not, those people who don't know how to sing in the middle of their friends sing well in the bathroom or in the comfort room..Are you this type of guy? Come on, let's talk about it...what type of song you always sing in the bathroom or in the comfort room, a rock? instrumental, jazz, ballad etc etc..

I am a singer, so I sing all the time. I have known people that absolutely cannot sing. I knew a girl in my choir class in junior high that was completely tone deaf. Every note came out sounding exactly the same. She had no pitch whatsoever. But she practiced and worked with the teachers, and by the end of the year, the teachers had gotten her singing on key! I remember the smile on her face when she sang a song correctly and the whole class erupted in cheers for her! She was so happy she could have flown! I sing songs from my favorite band when I'm hanging around the house. The band is the Asylum Street Spankers. My favorite singer is the only girl in the band, Christina Marrs. She is amazing, and I aspire to be as good as her one day. Their songs are kind of eclectic: a mix of jazz, scat, bluegrass, country, rock...they do some really neat covers, as well as write originals. Christina has a very thick, bluesy voice that resonates for miles. They are all multi-instrumentalists as well. She plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukelele, and musical saw.

The art of singing - This image portrays of being a singer.
If it comes to music, it's something that I love to do. I do listen to various music of all types. However I do know how to sing, but I don't consider myself one of the greatest singers of all time. I used to be in a choir when I used to go to a Christian Church. Back then about 3 years ago I stayed in the Philippines for a year for business purposes. But during my stay there I have attended many singing contests. Usually grand prizes were like 5,000 pesos which is a $100 US money. I sang a lot of songs in tagalog (main filipino language of that country). I've one a few grand prizes, the money I've won I would always split to my relatives because they needed more than I did. I usually sing songs that are ballads or some soft rock.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I beginning to like you friend. Are you a Fil-Am? I am purely Filipino and still staying here in my beloved country and I am proud to be one. I appreciate you for that. I wish I could hear you singing. I guess you have really had a good voice. You're just too humble to be proud of it. Also the genre of your songs are also my kind of songs...I hope someday your songs will be out in the market, just use same username so I would know it's you that I am longing to sing and heard it. Keep it up friend...

Oo nga pare. Miss ko na sa Pinas. Ang pag uwi kami sa next year. I'm actually half Filipino and Spaniard. I was actually staying in Bicol Ragay Camarines Sur. But most of my time I hanged out in Naga City. So I do enjoy a lot of the songs from Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Gary V., Erik Santos and much more. A lot of people didn't expect me to perform in tagalog, they thought I was going to sing in english. I performed a lot of places such as Pili, Naga, Ragay, Laguna, Alabang, Manila and it was just amazing to sing pretty much everywhere. Of course I plan to do some again when I get back.

I used to sing along while listening to the music at home or while having bath or tidying room up with vacuum cleaner. I didn't even know, that I could sing well. I play bass guitar in a band and one day, when the lead singer was missing, I tried to sing into microphone. Surprise was big because I've never sung loud before. When you sing loud, your voice sounds completely different from that, how it sounds when you sing along silently. So from that day on, I also act as a lead singer when the other guy is missing and do some back vocals too. I recommend to sing loud to see, what is your voice capable of. Maybe there's a vocal beast inside you and you just don't know, that he is waiting for you to release him:)

Congratulations then!!! You never thought you have an extra talent of singing aside from playing bass in the band. You know what that's what I am dreaming of, to be a performer or in a singing band. I love singing but the singing doesn't love me. I envy you..keep it up man! I wish someday, I would be reading your name in entertainment magazine...he he he he keep it up and good luck

Thanks for your wishes! But you shouldn't give up either. For example, the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea, doesn't have good voice at all. But he can sing correctly to the music, so he is doing back vocal and has his own song too. You should try singing and determine a kind of songs that fit your voice well. It's possible to make song sound good with almost any voice, so I don't think you are in hopeless situation. Keep trying and you'll get it one day! Good luck!:)

I appreciate that, you really have the guts. Me? I wasn't like you before my voice was only good in the bathroom whenever I pee cause I feel ashamed singing in the crowded places with my friends. It was all gone when I started little by little singing with my friends in a karaoke bar until I manage to stand and sing...I am not a good singer also but I will not be out of tune...

I think I know how to sing, but my boyfriend tells me otherwise. LOL. I love singing along those "angry at the world" songs, usually I do it when I'm alone in the house, or in my room. I seldom sing in public, because I have heard myself sing ( I recorded it once) and it was really really bad! LOL!

You make me laugh....why you would just be singing those "angry at the world " songs? does it mean you really mad at the world every time you will be alone at home? I guess your boyfriend just kidding because maybe he's voice is worst than yours...just kidding then...thanks for dropping bye...

NO! Don't say that my friend. Everything can be learned. Have you forgotten the saying that goes " Constant practice makes you perfect"... I am not saying here to be a perfect, but, at least 1/8 to perfection would be good enough just let us learn how to sing even just a simple Do Re Mi.... he ha he ha Try it my friend...

oh, it is very value to say the title of such this item, beacuse you have chinldren in your family, you need have a lot of song to sing for them, because children in this period of not birth long such as the half past year,or almost one year, they are laying in being sensitive to the song and voice.so as the adults, you have a good idea to have a lot of songs to sing for your children,as me of the like songs,i like the fashion songs of chinese songs, beacuse i am chinese people.i like the fashion songs in china.i also like the europe and american songs such as english songs, these songs are listened strongly and firmly and fastly.and for a while, the tune of these songs change sharply and rapidly.these changes can bring me some aethestical feeling about songs.

I got your point. You know what? I had a friend who was not a good singer I only heard him singing only when he would his baby go to slept. The only song that I always heard is the song " Jingle Bells...jingle bells...jingle bells" a Christmas song. He would sung this until his baby got slept..He doesn't care of what time of year it would be as long as he could still sing "Jingle bells...jingle bells...jingle bells..." I hope you're not singing same song I mentioned...Cheers! and thanks for commenting...

I thought I know how to sing. I have a very sensitive ear for music and thought I could sing just as well. I sang in front of a lady friend who was a singer herself and she stopped her ears. I thought she overreacted or joked. Then I heard a recording of my own singing and I was horrified. LOL

I would pick rock music because its very catchy. Also who would want to listen to jazz in the shower. Because in the shower you would want to hear stuff that's upbeat, up lifting and something that's going to refresh you mentally and physically.

I believe I can sing. I used to sing in school for special numbers in our weekly chapel hour. And I had participated regularly in our Christmas Cantata. Seriously, I used to think that singing is for everyone. I thought that everyone can sing or at least hum. But, well, after hearing a few people sing out of nowhere, I learned not everyone have the gift. What I usually sing are pop or alternative. Sometimes, R&B. Lately, I have been singing worship songs.

I hardly ever sing in the bathroom or comfort room. I sing with our church's choir, which is the type of singing that I love to do rather than sing solo. I just love the challenge and the sound of different voices singing in harmony.

You know what? Out of tune can be corrected as long as you really try to improve it. Just a matter of constant practice on our selves with the music we like most..It would be much better if you practice with someone whom you trusted and knows of course how to sing...Like you I love singing but singing doesn't love me..I am a frustrated singer he he hehe he
