Billboards - do you look at them when you travel on the road or highway?

In today's time there are lots of big billboards that greet us every time we travel on road or high ways, it is so common that we will feel that there is something missing in our city if we don't see a single billboard along the way.
But recently there is one billboard being questioned because the ads in the billboard is too sexy. A man and a woman hugging each other without any top dress or shirt. though of course the ads does not show the private parts but still it is way too sexy and can stimulate the imagination of people.
What do you think of these ads that even young children can see. Don't you feel that they are inappropriate to displayed in public. Does having it as an ad justify the sexy theme of the ads.
I feel that they should not allow this kind of ads. or billboards. for adults it is just alright but for young minds. i don't think they should be seen.

In my opinion billboards should be appropriate for young children to see as well as adults because they are out in public and you have no choice when it comes to passing by them, unlike television where you can change the channel if something objectionable is on. Children don't need to be exposed to sexually explicit advertizing and it shouldn't be forced upon them in public.

hello there hotsummer.... yes i do look at billboards. i also read what is written on the board.and yes sometimes there are billboards that have pictures that are not suitable for younger age. I remember one billboard here in the Philippines that cause a few vehicular accident. hmmm... i am not so sure but the picture saw a female wearing a short skirt and legs we a bit apart at each other. so when ever a car would pass that way and saw the billboard they stare at it and peep at the skirt of the girl. after the police reported those things to the authority. they immediately took the billboard off that way. i agree with you... they should not put pictures of those kind. they should remember that children also can see those billboards.

yes i am... i always look at the billboards when my hubby is driving through the high way as they are really eye catching and there is no way that i can missed them... but i don't agree with a billboard that have a sexy picture on it as it is not the right thing for young children to see... the company should be more selective when they choose the picture and think of the young children as well... take care and have a nice day...

I agree with you there's nothing wrong with billboards as long that
they are descent to look at. Were talking about young children here
whose mind is innocent. They should not have the chance to see something
that could influence them in any other way that is targeted for adults.
Whoever put the billboard there must think hard before doing it.

When I'm not driving, yes I do look at the billboards. I find them semi-entertaining and sometimes they can be quite funny, or awfully stupid. It's just another thing to do while enjoying a car trip. If I am driving, I try to ignore them and focus on driving.

Every once in a while a billboard will catch my eye. I look for the signs that list the hotels/gas stations when entering a city.
Most of the time the billboards that catch my eye are the ones that say " this billboard for rent" or something along that line and it sends me into fits of giggles every single time and I'm not sure why i find it as funny as i do.

yes i do look at billboard on the road. i don't drive and i don't have a car so it's very safe for me to look at billboards on the road. if the billboard is too sexy, i think it could really be a source of distraction, especially for men who are inherently, visually-oriented. and yes, you're right, for children, it is so not advisable to let them see those things. parents should always be there to educate or remind them.
