I watched Ghost ship again Monday, having enjoyed it again thoroughly, I thought the champagne waiter right at the beginning of the movie seemed familiar(tall blond man who nods at Francesca while she sings), and have tried to discover who it is as I have seen him in something before, though he looks very familiar I can not place him, can anyone help? Did anyone else enjoy Ghost ship? I know it is not a resent film, but I have rewatching some older movies I have around the house, and enjoyed this one.

I haven't watched the movie in a while, but I think you might be referring to Desmond Harrington, who plays Jack Ferryman in the film. He has been in movies such as Wrong Turn and My First Mister. He has also been on shows including Gossip Girl, Dexter, and Rescue Me. I liked the movie well enough. I think it's probably one of the better American horror films I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of anything related to ships, and I used to study shipwrecks and ghost ships in my spare time. I was kind of left hanging at the end of the movie. Always hoped for a sequel, but it's good as it is.

Never mind. You were referring to someone else, I believe. I'm trying to remember the actor's name, but I'd have to look at the movie credits. Gah, it has been way too long since I last watched the film!

Than you for the help, but Desmond Harrington is good in this movie, I have admired work of late in Dexter. Thank you, but your right it is not him, thanks all the same.

I don't clearly remember the scene you're referring to but I looked the movie up on the Internet Movie Database and the Chief Steward was played by an actor named Boris Brkic. Unfortunately, his bio page doesn't have any good pictures so I don't know if it's who you are looking for but maybe one of his movies/TV shows will ring a bell: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0110311/

Thank you so much, it is him, I had gone to IMDB and looked through the characters set up there but must have missed him as I had looked up Francesca Rettondini and Bob Ruggiero whose names are just before and after his. Thank you again, I am going to look through his biography maybe figure out where I know him from.

Yes, I enjoy watching the movie. I thought that it was good. It is true that there were scenes, which were a little disturbing, but it's the way that horror movies go, and other than that, I really did enjoy it. It was interesting to watch.

I liked the movie. That first scene where everyone is cut in half sticks in my head. I cannot recall the blond man. Next time I see it I will have to pay attention to that. I am usually really good about recognizing faces.
