What are the benefits being SINGLE?

I have been single for 7 years now and I am loving it. I am 43 and I was married for over 10 years with my second husband and 6 years with my first. Now I don't have to tell anyone where I am going, I can watch what I want on t.v. (no baseball or football if I don't want to). I can cook what I like for dinner. I am independant and loving it. But it took a while for me to get that way. There have been a lot of lonely nights, but I think of the positives and that gets me through. I have more friends now than I ever did when I was married. Going out with friends or having an occasional man/woman friend is good. Good Luck with your new life of being single. My thought are with you.
