Do you enjoy family gatherings?

Hi trinee! I love them too! I have the most wonderful memories of me and my brother growing up with my cousings at family gatherings. We would get so excited when our mom would tell us that one of our aunts from Mexico was visiting because we knew that meant family reunion. I miss those days so much now that everyone is so grown up and we hardly get to see each other. I dont even live in the same state anymore and I sometimes seriously think about moving back. Since I only have one brother my kids and his will have very few cousings and only one aunt and vise versa. I really dont want my baby girl or my future kids to miss out on all of the fun. I'm so one of avid fun of family gathering. Where all of your brothers and sisters with their families got together in one house and have enjoyment through eating , talking, singing and share some ideas of important thoughts for the family circles.We are so happy laughing each other and share moments. I dont want that day will close cause its really like reunions. We are so close families thats why I love it.

Yes, we have lots of family gatherings when my children are on the Island and usually we have a huge family gathering once a year - just after Christmas. it is great fun to see everyone again and to get the latest news and gossip!

Family gatherings are fun. Usually we will gather at my parents' house for any activities. The woman will do the cooking and the men will help with BBQ (if there's any) We have family fund that's being collect monthly so we can spend on something or delicious food. Sometimes we will hang out at a restaurant instead of at home.

Yes, I always do enjoy family gathering for it is the best time to bond with your family and other relatives, to ask them how they are doing, to see how they look like and just talk everything under the sun. For me family gatherings are important as well as exciting because I love being surrounded by many people.

I love family gatherings too. When my family gets together there are lots of laughing, joking, photo taking, yummy food, etc. We all have great humor and putting it all together is just explosive. :) Sadly we don't do it as often as we would like but when we are able to it makes up for it. Family strengths our lives and I am thankful for my family.

Yes, I do enjoy family getherings, my mom's side family is very big so everytime when we have a whole family gathering, the banquet room is always full of us and we like to ask each other how's going and tease each other alittle bit. We enjoying doing that once a while, it's good to see everybody once in a while.

I enjoy family gathering when I was young.In my childhood ,the family gathering just like a party and I can do everything I'd like to do.But when I grow up,I found that the communication in dinner is very important.I can't stand the silence in it and I felt that a good topic is a nice thing to break it.But how to find it is a problem.It's reverlant to the relationship between family members.If they'er always together ,there's no obstacle to find a commom topic which can build a harmonious atemosphere. So I enjoy family gathering,it's a way to be keep touch wiht my relative and to widen my horizen.

I hate going to family gatherings.All my family does is talk about the people who aren't there. Its my moms side of the family that do that. it seems like they have nothing better to talk about; when in reality they need to look in the mirror and stare at it. I swear if i hear anyone else call another peson a sl** or a fat as* or whatever im going to have to say something. If it didnt mean so much to my mom, i would just stay home

Yeah, when it's my family or my husbands fathers side of the family. I really don't like to be around his moms side. They are loud, outspoken, and thinks their crap don't stink. His mom is a bragger about her cooking and honestly, I think it sucks. She tries to make me feel like she can do so much better than me as far as cooking. There is no competition there. She brags over AWFUL, PLAIN, cooking. It's always the same thing. I have never really bragged about my cooking but I can say this much, at least I had my own catering business. Maybe that is why she feels the need to make herself feel better.
