Of course that the best is to live the moment, live today....nostalgia for the past make us unhappy, live in the past is not very secure because never know what will be tomorrow. Or maybe all depend how was our life in the past?if was great, and we was happy , we like to live with ours memories..... If we are happy right in this moment is all what we have and must keep?... In the past unhappy, in the present unhappy....we will dream about our happiness in the future, and we are tempted to live in the future? When you want to live? Now? yestarday? tomorrow?

Hi, people in general live in present, this is a normal way to live....but with memories we live in the past and with dreams in the future. This is human nature. But never forget, that we MUST live in present, this is life, and if yestarday was a great time...just WAS...and if tomorrow WILL be a happy time, never know if will be or not. So, we must eat today, must drink today, must love today, must to be together today...not yestarday, not tomorrow.

I live in the moment, but I use the past and the future as a guide. The past is my guide so I don't make the same mistakes twice, but repeat what works, and the future is a guide, so that things I do in the present won't make life worse tomorrow.

My Sweet Lady We dont control our lives our actions are 60% controlled by an unseen force which is guiding our lives. We(all humans) are born with a purpose, each action done by the individual is an attempt at reaching that end result. Intelligent people say they are the controllers of their life. Those who make these statements Dont know what they are talking, poor fellas.....................

Nice question :=) Nostalgia doesn't make me much unhappy; since it seems my past was much better than my present. But I ain't pessimistic about my future either. If lil' things go the way I want, (and that is easy to happy unless something really unevitable plays spoilsport) I quite believe I'd be one of the most contented men ever; not to mention, a matter of envy to at least a few others. All this I'm speaking is with respect to my career since obviously it has to have the highest weightage these days in my life! But still, the overall picture ain't much different :=)

I was in quandary before due to the fact that I hold uncertainty of the future and I was regretful of yesterday. I was encapsulated by the past events of my life that I see no future of tomorrow. Until I read the book of Eckhart Tolle, The Power of the Now. The book is so empowering that it made me realize that I have forgotten the most important time of my life which is THE NOW. Now, I believe that I have a better perspective of things now. I put in my mind that what I only have is the now. My future depends on today and my yesterday will be meaningful if I focus on the now.

I like to live in the present, but sometimes we think to our past, maybe because it is better than today, maybe when we had less problems to resolve... The future? O never think to the future, i think only to the immediate future.. tomorrow or in a month, because we are nevere sure of our future, we can be sure of our past or present...
