I was just wondering if peoples still get check up done every year.I know i do,i think it's important to get a physical to make sure i'm healthy.Since i was 21 yrs old i've been going once a year for a physical and my son get one too since he was born(he is 6 now),but my husband won't go...What's up with man, they always seem too scare, maybe not every man,but most of the one i know think they don't need to go see a doctor once in a while.Anyway,so do peoples still get physical anymore?

Nope. I haven't been to the doctor since I was...I dunno, six? Can't afford a doctor, don't have insurance, niether. I know I'm healthy. I pay close attention to my health and I'm always trying to learn more about the human body. I'm very active at keeping myself healthy. I'm not scared of doctors -- I don't have a very high opinion of them, wanting money more than they want to heal people...but I'm not scared of them.

Well i guess if you have to pay for a doctor that's different,in Canada we don't have to pay so i suppose that make it easy for us.

Yes, I get a physical every year including all that female stuff. I also go to the dentist at least once a year, if not every six months (depending on my health insurance)! It is very important to do this and if you have health insurance it is not so expensive either. As far as men being difficult... that is subjective, but I find that most people who avoid routine check-ups are afraid that the doc might find something. My future sister-in-law's mother just spent two weeks in the hospital after refusing to go see a doctor for years. She now has discovered she has problems with her kidneys, her pancreas, her cholesterol and has advanced and severe diabetes. She lost recognition of her son for a few hours and spent her first day in the hospital talking to the French president, Nicholas Sarkozy. This is an extreme case of medical neglect, but it is all because she avoided the doctor's office. Bottom line, get your yearly and save your life before you turn out like this crazy French lady!

Hi, isabella. What you are doing is of great significance to your health. We should have a check-up at the doctor each year in order to know clearly about our physical condition. A lot of people just ignore check-up cause they think it unnecessary only when they do not feel well. But the point is having a regular check-up can help us to prevent many diseases before it gets worse. According to a survey, regular check-up is particularly important to men because men generally have more bad habits than women. Most men smoke, drink and seldom work out, which certainly does great harm to their health. So it'd be better that all of us pay great attention to our health problems. I also have a check-up regularly, usu. once every year to make sure I'm healthy.

No i don't have a check to the doctor every year!!also because i knwo it is good to do it..but in many cases it is hard to have enough time with it!!Normally hospitals are really slow as activity and so for a check up you can have much time to wait and so afterthat take results and so on..so it will be really boring and difficult to complete it every year!! so for the moment i won't have a check up every year i think when i will be older than now surely it will be necessary seeing that the risk to have illnes and something like that will grow!!

I go every year. I worry about cancer because it runs in our family so thats the main reason i go. My fiance though hasn't gone in along time. He claims he had one before we met. But he hasn't had one since we started dating. So along time.

To be very honest then I might be going to the doctor every two years because we people are a bit careless and only when we are ill then we consult a doctor so I have been in this group though but I do go to the dentist every three months and to the the eye center every six month. And formy weight then I do it in the gym. My partner does not go at all, he thinks that he will be wasting his time over there. And when I ask him to go he makes faces with you so I think men think that they are so perfect that they do not need a check up at all.

I'' go and visit annually my doctor and we have the annual checkup. To see if there is a problem in my health . Because is better to cure early and detect early in any decease. Prevention is better than cure as they always say.

I kinda have to get a check up every year because I play sports. I really think that everyone should get a check up every year because what if you have cancer and you don't know it. The cancer might just get worst to the point where you can't fix it. So I do get check up every year. =)
