What are you doing? What should you be doing?

I'm sitting here doing a whole lot of nothing, squinting at the computer screen because I can't see with my glasses and I can't see without them. I have a little laundry going. I want to clean some of my throw-rugs out on the front porch. Got my shampooer back from my brother-in-law, course I had to go over there and get it myself. It was sitting behind his front door with the stagnated water in it from when he cleaned his carpet weeks ago. I now have to clean the shampooer before I can use it (the swine). I also have a project started out by the side of the house. A small pen built off of a spare bedroom, which will be used as a whelping room for mama and puppies. I have to finish laying the brick on the ground in the pen, and it's only 100 degrees out there at the moment, which means it will feel like 110. Guess I'll drag the fan out, find a sweat rag which I keep wet and hung around my neck so I can keep sopping the sweat off my face (and rubbed raw in the process). Living-room and den could use another mopping, guess Tuesdays mopping didn't hold out. I won't even talk about the other three back bedrooms that need an over-haul. So, what are you doing? What should you be doing?

Right now I'm sitting here on mylot looking for posts to reply to, I'm hoping to get up to 100 posts before I go to bed. It's just after midnight and I should be asleep since I have a long day ahead of me tomorow, I have to mow the lawn, go grocery shopping, and some other general housework. I think this is my 78th reply here at mylot, when I found this site I thought I'd see more discussions that I would be interested in writing a reply for but it hasnt been that simple.

No, I didnt quite make it last night, I should make it today though after getting things around the house finished. As much as it may have sounded like it, I'm in no real hurry. I really just want to hit 100 to see what number they decide to give me on my star. As for the mis-spelled words in titles, I dont know that it hurts as much as you think, I've seen alot of discusions in the "today's top" list that were fill of gramatical errors because the poster didn't yet have a grasp on writing english as it was not their native language. You might lose some replys because of it but I dont think the percentage would be that great. And I think I have a discussion in the "no replies" list already myself, somebody will find it eventualy.

Yeah, I guess I am. My problem is I will either do it all or nothing. I can't find a nice balance. Right now I'm in a 'do it all' mentality, next week I may do nothing but sit on my rear-end reading all day and doing just enough to get by so I can at least justify myself lol

I guess I should be doing something else, truth is I was then decided to stop and take a break. I have been cleaning non-stop today except for these breaks. I have been cleaning out for a yard sale. Man we have lots of stuff that I no longer want. I however have put in a full day already on going thru things and wiping things down. But I should be doing supper now. Guess I better go .. lol

Getting ready for a yard sale, that is a job. My husband gets into a little 'lets clean house and have a yard sale' mode once and awhile. He was so into it one time that I had to tell him to knock it off, there was nothing left to sell. I'm surprised he didn't sell the kid and dogs lol

I got ya, I need a job too. For the time being I'll draw my little bit of unemployment, drop off some resumes here and there and just try to stay cool through the summer. It has turned into a real scorcher here in the southeast.

I'm here at home online playing poker and watching TV when in fact I should be reading and researching about Wordpress and other things because I will be putting up a new blog by next month and I only have the topic in my head. I have no name yet, host and all that. And aside from blogging, right at this day in time I should be out doing REAL LIFE work which I do not have yet.

Can you actually make money by blogging? I really don't understand the whole concept of blogging. Why it's done and what benefits come from it. Working on finding a job here too.

Did you make your 100 discussions? I don't know how many I have ever done in one day. It's always nice to have a little leisure time. I never did do what I wanted to yesterday, I stayed on in here instead. It was okay though. I did some indoor chores and stayed out of the heat.

I am on mylot right now trying to earn some cash. What I should be doing is reading the rest of "Ender's Game". It is a great book, and I highly recommend it to people looking to get into science fiction.

That will probably be the next thing on my list of 'what I'm doing', reading. When I get in a reading mood, I will read almost nonstop for days. I'll put the book down long enough to tend to dishes, laundry, cooking, or filling up the dog bowl lol.

Well, I am sitting here at the computer and really trying to write an article for associated content but not getting far with it. I am waiting on my husband to go to the store and I have laundry going. It is so hot in this house with the dryer that I bet you could bake a cake in the living room. However, the fan is going and there is no air conditioning. UGH!! It looks as though it will rain so I better go roll up car windows. I hate this weather!

I live in southeast Ga. and it's sweltering here. I don't why the heat has shot up into the 100s but it has. With the humidity it feels even hotter. I never did do what I needed to do yesterday, I did a few things in the house. I actually spent all day on this thing and started new discussions which is something I rarely do. I sort of justified not going out because I kind of promised my mom I wouldn't. She was worried about me being in the heat. I tried to reassure her I'm careful. I'm curious to see how many pennies I made yesterday lol

I actually got done with laundry and washing bottles and picking up toys and giving baby a bath and feeding and taking a wild duck I found in the yard to the wild animal rescue refugee place thing, and I'm sitting here wondering what else needs to be done. I just don't have time to be on the computer like I used to. My daughter keeps me extremely busy and I hardly have time to sit still and I still need to diet...heh. I guess it's just not enough cardio taking care of her and the house or maybe I'm building muscles in my arms from carrying her around all the time and multitasking while holding her which does get quite tiring after a while. It's always easier doing things without having her in my arm at the same time. So at the moment, I'm caught up on chores, which is quite rare. Usually I have dishes building up and laundry all over and dirty bibs and bottles and toys. But it's all under control for the time being.

And now....a moment for yourself. Good for you. Taking care of a baby or toddler will keep you running. I remember back when my first two came along (they were 13 months apart) I always had plenty to keep me busy and plenty of energy in order to get it done. Except for my ex-husband being a butt, I remember those days as bright and sunny.

Hello SusanLee, besides being on mylot I also have laundry going because thursday is one of my laundry days. At the end of today I will have done 5 loads of laundry and I am only on my second load. I really should be folding my first load but I am not, I am here on mylot because I know it will still be waiting for me to fold.. I also could be washing the morning dishes but I don't have too many dishes to wash and I would rather wait until I get a little more, maybe after lunch I will have more than 5 item to wash.

That's the one thing about laundry, dishes, dirty windows, and floors that need mopping, they will be there waiting on you. They sure aren't going anywhere. I'll go out in a bit and do what I need to do, maybe it'll be a little cooler. I really need to clean my carpet shampooer so I can clean the rugs, which I plan to do on the porch.

I'm doing a whole lot of nothing as well. one would think there would be a whole lot of enjoyment from doing a whole lot of nothing. Normally, that is indeed the case. Today is different though. I'm filled with a whole lot of boredom, and I know not why. I could go outside and play basketball, but it's a little too hot at the moment, and the sun is beaming down. i could watch television, but there's nothing worth giving attention to. I could listen to music, by my speakers and earbuds and busted. What should i be doing right now? No idea, I can't quite remember for some reason. o_o'

I'm at the computer, surfing the net, doing some online shopping while watching tv and taking care of my baby. I should be sleeping right now while my baby is sleeping or I might be eating because I haven't eaten breakfast. I even forgot to arrange our bed and prepare things for the shower. I just feel a bit lazy right now and I feel like browsing some good-to-buy stuff. Guess I'll just do everything when my husband wakes up.

A baby, now there is a full time job; and with hubby snoozing, we have to keep everything quiet. Yep, everything can wait while you take a few minutes for yourself lol.

I really should be sleeping right now. It's 6.36AM at this time and I can hear other people getting into their car, ready to go to work. I can also hear somebody cooking for breakfast. I'm still Mylotting and playing games on facebook. I should sleep because later I have to drive 6 hours to go to Thailand to pick up my man. Then drive to Hatyai, take a van to Bangkok and we're off to Phuket Island for a nice getaway... Yippiee...!! But I'm still not sleepy. Definitely should be sleeping.

Yes, you should definitely be sleeping with that type of schedule ahead of you. I would probably be too excited to sleep. Phuket Island, Thailand, aren't they some of the places that were hit by that awful tsunami back in December of 04?

Lets see I'm paying bills online and scolding my kids. What I should be doing is oh everything under the sun. I have 3 bedrooms to also rearrange but no help no where to put anything, no reason to bother. I have a floor I also need to mop but kids won't pick their stuff up until I get out the trash bag so then there comes the "you make me do everything" line of BS... I'm sick of fighting & she's only 6! Plus Hubby is asleep so it's not like I can be jamming to any kind of motivational music and when he gets up I'm too pooped out to care.

Paying bills, that's enough to cause a person to need a good shot of strong whiskey, or at least a tranquilizer. (I don't use either lol) As for the kids, yeah, they can sure make a body want to pinch their little heads off. My two oldest are 30 and 31. I also have a 13-year-old who is all but being raised like an only child. You would think the world is coming to an end when he's told to empty the dishwasher or clean up the kitchen. We won't even talk about his room.

Well, I have my vacations these days, and I am enjoying it to the fullest!! Though, my enjoyment comes mainly from computer so spending more than 5-6 hours here on myLot and other sites.. Apart from that, I've been shopping all these days, trying on new stuffs and just usual hangouts with my friends.

Wow, vacation. Sounds like fun. I took my nine-year-old grandson to the beach for a couple of days a few weeks ago. Enjoy your vacation.
