Has anyone of you been in portugal in the northern regions you enjoy the view, and in the south, because it´s warmer, you have the beach, however i live in the middle, in lisbon (wich is the home of the biggest football club ever -BENFICA- ).

We took a holiday there which was the first holiday for my child as a baby. We stayed in the Braga area and combined that with a trip over the border into Spain. I remember that the Portuguese people were very friendly and adored babies, the beaches in that area were clean and almost deserted, to and the Portugese coffee was amazing, not to mention the port. It was a very relaxing country to visit with beautiful scenery.

I have been to Portugal and enjoyed my time there very much indeed. I took my four month old son there and the local people were so friendly towards him. We flew into Faro Airport, then we went to Lagos, next Lisbon and lastly Tavira. I really liked the pretty beaches in Algarve. Most of all I loved the scenic views, historical buildings and old trams in Lisbon. Lisbon is now listed as one of my favorite cities in the world. I would like to go back there and see Evora perhaps plus a few other places.

Hello Yok. I have been to a number of countries in Europe. But, I have not been to Portugal yet. I have been dreaming all the time for a chance to come to Portugal. I know it a beautiful country. I have seen many beautiful photos of places in Lisbon, and very scenic country sides. I have also seen videos of the sports and the bull races. Really awesome !

Hi yok999! I try to visit Portugal every few years. Used to go more frequently, but things have gotten so expensive everywhere. I was born in Caldas da Rainha and am more familiar with Lisbon and the north. Have not gone south, but hope to go next time I visit. Also hoping to make a quick trip to Madeira some day. I used to live in Alges (suburb of Lisbon) when I was little. Love Lisbon! Have taken several of my US friends there and did all the normal sightseeing stuff. Love Benfica. Had the opportunity to see them in action when they come to the US for an exhibition game. I enjoy visiting one of my favorite Portuguese cities, Coimbra. It has wonderful architecture, nightlife and shopping.
