It is really unfortunate that South African's faltered again in the semifinals of a major tourney. After plating such a great cricket throughout the tournament they crashed out of it by losing 7 runs to Pakistan. One must appreciate Pakistan for their fighting spirit. After starting the tournament so bad and virtually facing the ouster, they reached final. They proved again that, they are always a dangerous side to play against!

I am a South African and apreciate what you are saying, but why would you say they are not chokers? SA seem to fall out the bus every time it realy matters, what do you think is the reason for that? Blessings

Hmmmm, it's harsh but yes they are chokers. This time the term is a little harsh because Pakistan simply outplayed them and were the better team on the day. I predicted the outcome of the game as soon as the two teams took to the field. The South Africans just did not look comfortable whilst the Pakistanis looked very confident. This was the main difference between the two teams but having said that, Afridi was riding a wave and Gul just couldn't go wrong.

yes, Afridi produced his best when it mattered the most. Both with batting and bowling. Who knows if Gibbs and ABD stayed even for a few overs match would have been totally different.

Yes, my team has chocked again. I have said on many ocasions that Smith should not be captain, but we can't blame him. Pakistan played very well and diserved to go to the T20 final. SA had their wins, but when it mattered, they did not perform. I would rather give Pakistan the benefit and say that they won rather than SA lost. Pakistan just outbowled SA's best batters, they could barely get a six, and even the fours were scarse. Well done, PAKISTAN. I wish you best in the finals.

It would be tough for you to see how your team has again been knocked out at a crucial stage but really the batsmen should have played better cricket. Two batsmen made a 100 runs collectively still they could not reach the target even after the pakistani bowlers gave away 16 extras. Pakistan spinners bowled well but the sa batsmen have once again lost the match by choking in a pressure situation. Morkel should have been brought in earlier as he can play the big shots against the spinners.

Yes Pakistan is always a side that has a dangerous spin on it when it comes to cricketing. The match they lost against England was a matched that they give away and I saw this from the way they play on that day. Is it that South Africans are chokers I believe that what had happened to Hansie Conjie is still affecting South Africa cricket and until they apologies for the wrong they did to him this side will continue to fail where it matters the most or unless they get rid of all the players that were under Hansie leadership them the jinx will always be there. He took the fall for them and none of them were there to defend him even though they know that it was a team thing. Anyway I said my piece.

If you look at what has happened to them in the past and now again there is no reason why you cannot call them chokers. They lost the 1999 world cup semies, 2007 semies and now the World T20 semies. In all there tournaments they played top class cricket before being shown the door at the very last moment. It also happened many other times in other tournaments. Anyway hope they can lose this tag soon and emerge champions in a major tournament soon. Pakisan needs to be congratulated for the way they have played throughout the tournament. They have not had the best of time in the recent past. Last night they were brilliant in stopping the South Africans reaching a relatively easy target of 150. They did well to keep the pressure on. All the best to them for the finals!

One of the most mercurial teams in world cricket is Pakistan. One day they will play like a world beater, and the next day they will collapse like a pack of cards.South Africa were at the receiving end during the semifinal. It is this unpredictability that has made Pakistan one of the most dangerous teams.
