hiii dear friend..nice to meet you here..Your in a wrong way of thinking..You wont get paid when u recieve responses of your own discussion..In mylot you get paid of giving response,uploading photos and also submitting tasks..Tasks are the new way of earning in the mylot..Tasks are the newly introduced by the mylot..So if u get the response to your discussion just respond to your responbses so that this saves you of searching the discussions to respond and also you will get paid..happy mylotting dear friend..have a nice day...happy earning..keep smiling..

thank you all so much for your immediate response.i was a little bit confused before even though i know that i don't get paid the responses.i read some other discussion and that is from where i got this confusion.anyway thanks again for clearing that up.i will appreciate all your help.happy mylotting.

If you start a discussion you will earn nothing until it receives one response.
Then you earn nothing from the other responses.
We are paid here for our own activity not the activity of others. Those responding on your discussion will earn for the response BUT you can earn by commenting on it with a quality comment not just a 'thank you' (which we are told not to do in the Guidelines).
If you comment and leave another query for the responder, they will come back again and then you comment again and it turns into a discussion - which is what we are told we earn fo here on myLot

You will get paid for your initial discussion starter. Because there was one day, I started a discussion and that was the only activity I had on here, the payoff was only a penny's difference but still it paid. Like you said, you're paid for what you do, starting a conversation is activity, but the rest of the stuff you said was correct as far as I seen. Very well described.

as recently other members told me...you won't be paid when you receive responses to your own discussions..may be when you opne your discussion and you take your firat post so you will be paid as 1 normal post but afterthat i gues you won't be rewarded for that!!
Normally here you are paid for just your activity and not that one of others...so when you write posts in other discussions or in yours even but they must be relevant such as not simply thanks for the reponse...so you cna be paid...in other cases such as when you receive responses theorically you should not be paid for that!!YOu kow about it sometimes there are discussions because the algorythm on mylot is not known and so it is not relly clear about how much be paid for that or thos one!!

As long as you make your discussions meanigful, you will get at least 1 response. Also your comments to any responses have to be meaningful and not just a word or two. Also, anytime you start discussions, they should be more than just a few workd and more than just a couple of lines. I have started discussions and all of them have at least 1 response if not more. You never know when you start a discussion if you are going to get responses or not. I guess it all depends on how intersting the discussion is. Just post uality discussons and you will be albe to earn. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
