We all need to rest in weekend, we need this 2 days off to rest and have some free time, before to start a new week in work. If somebody will come to you and say..that need you in weekend to work for some extra money you will accept just for money? And you will accept don t rest, just for money? How much important are this 2 days for us, to take a breath from our work, to stay at home and try to recharge the battery? Or money are more important for you and you will accept to work for money?

Well, I think this topic totally relates to those who are employed full time. For me, being an undergraduate student, I would happily agree to the part time job as it might cut down my bills at least!! And, as I am having my vacations these days, I'll be looking for such job. But yeah, for people who are already employed they should rest and re-energize themselves for the next week and should not take up these jobs unless they need extra money desperately.

Hi, you know, if somebody ask you to work in weekend he must give you double for a work day, so are many advantages to work in weekend, of course for who can work in free time. So, if you accept to work in weekend you can earn almoct as you earn in all week,. just in 2 days.

That is well said by icesmile. Yes you must be doubly paid if you are going to work in the weekend. So I will happily agree to work in the weekend so that I could earn 4 weekdays salary in those 2 days and in return i shall take 2 working days as loss of pay so that I can strike a perfect balance with my salary and leisure. Hence if i am approached to work in the weekend for double the daily salary, I am pretty much ready to work for but at the same time it must be ensured that I be given double the payment in the weekends. If not, I would prefer to relax those 2 days instead of working like a donkey for a regular pay amount.

I think that I must be privileged because I have always loved working, and it doesn't really feel like work either, as I tend to work weekends anyway. The way I am fortunate is that I am self-employed, but I don't tend to think about money. I suppose now though after working many years, I tend not to think about the money side of things. - Derek

Ok, without money you can't survive, but if you are greedy for money, it's bad, did you ever see to-morrow, so try to enjoy your life, because money is not everything, you know that life in this world is too short, and when it comes you'll say how stupid was i, i had the chance for ahappily life, and it's all over now. Bye Friend.

I would prefer to take rest on the weekend, instead of going for some extra work and earn money. After all money is not everything. We all need rest and some relaxation to recharge ourselves and if we keeping doing work on all the seven days in a week, we will feel tired and exhausted.

Should I work and earn the extras? I don't think I would want to work as I need a rest since I have been working for the whole week I can't afford to give away my much needed rest during the weekends. Without rest I think my health will give way to illness and the little extras won't be able to cover the cost of my medication. Again it will be very boring to do routine work for the whole week and the weekends is the only period I be able to break away from the monotonous daily routine of my work. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

It depends how you in finacial, if you have a good living with your earnings, you don't have to work, more and more you have better take week off and rest somewhere else, not at home, but far from your home. Ok.

It would depend on the job, and how much money I was going to make from it. It would also depend on what else I had planned for the weekend. If someone asked me to work overtime, and it fell on the weekend of my wedding anniversary, for example, I wouldn't do it no matter how much I would make from the job.

If the money is a lot, I will accept to it. I want to have more money so that later we can go to travel and have more fun. I know the rest is also important, but money is also important. I like hard working first and then having a good relax. I love China

As a single mom I have to work pretty much 24/7. My youngest daughter still does not slepe through the night so I find that I have to catch sleep when I can, I have to say if someone would give me a decent nights sleep then I would most definately go in and work the weekend for a bit of extra pay, as they say " every little helps", and I would do anything for my littl efamily.

I've done this in the past - worked the weekend for extra money. At one point i actually had a weekend job and a weekday job because i needed the extra money at the time. These days I'm more likely to take my work home with me and get it done (i'm allowed to mark the time on my time sheet) than make the trip to work and be alone all day on the weekend.

In no way is money is more important for then my health. But seeing on the condition of work or nature of work, and if I am happy with it, then I would love to work. It really depends upon the situation. If some work which you like and it's on weekend you would like to do it. So it really depends upon how the work is?

Weekend is the time for resting. If I'm single why not but because I already have kids, I want to spent my time with them.

Let me be honest, i don't work for money on my 2 days rest off, but if a friend or someone in my family needs me to help him, even if it's painting or work in their homes i will be the first to help, but not for money.

Yes, I would and I have before and got paid time and a half for it. I think that it is a great way to make some extra cash. Yeah people do need their rest but when they can't rest and be at peace cause of their worries because of unpaid bills then it counters it. My husband worked today even on Father's Day and missed the cookout and stuff just because he is trying to get money for bills.

I would on an occasion. I do home daycare, so there are times that I will allow overtime hours if the family is similar to my own family and of course if my family does not mind to have them over during their weekend. But mostly no I will not, I look forward to me weekends to much.

Hi, Ice! The rest is absolutely necessary, but I work whenever anyone lets me, since I really hate being so broke all the time.

Hrm....I know I used to do that all the time, mainly because my big internal argument was, "Do you wanna go out and SPEND money? Or do you wanna hang out with the kids and EARN money?" When I was a nanny of course. I would always choose the kids, unless I had something going on like my house BBQ, or a concert, or a date, something I put a lot of effort into. Rest IS nice, especially when you do a lot of heavy lifting at work, your body needs the rest....OR you can be like me, stretch before, during and after every shift, drink lots of water, then you don't quite need the extra rest. Pace yourself and you'll win. I used to always be stuck with the weekend shift when I wasn't a nanny, like at a pizza joint, But then, I didn't quite mind it, because no one wanted to be there, but we all had fun, and a few tips.

I would work as long as it was tax free. That way it is really worth my while. working and having taxes tanken out of my wages sucks and I wouldn't waste my time if I was having to work like that. if it was under the table cash then you bet I would work. Working isnt that bad. and sometimes I dont do much on the weekend so it would be fine to work on the weekend as long as I wasn't ruining any plans.

of course i will. definitely! well, i have my own reason by the way. i am the type of what you called workaholic. i dont like staying at home. i prefer doing some paid job at my office. i dont like wasting time for something that i dont get paid. its really crazy sometime when we were chasing money all the time but who's doesnt like money? right?
