I forgot the discussion I was about to post!

I was responding to a discussion and while I was doing that, a good idea for a new discussion dawned on me. I said to myself that I would post it as soon as I finished responding to this discussion. So I clicked on the New Discussion link in a different tab just to make sure I would not forget to start that discussion. After responding and clicking submit, I go to the New Discussion page (right here!) and found myself BLANK! NO! I forgot all about that new topic that seemed so interesting at that moment! Has it ever happened to you? - forgotten about a discussion you were just about to post?

That happened to me quiet a few times already, and it's funny coz, I just stare at the screen, wishing for that good idea to come back, lol. But often times, I go back to the previous responses that I made, because, some of my started discussions were curiosities I have in connection to a topic that i responded to.

Hello oyenkai, Not too fast like what happened to you but yes, sometimes I just forget what I wanted to write here. Unfortunately, I always get the ideas to post discussion here while ready for bed, or while busy cooking and etc where I can't log in here immediately. When the time comes to start the discussion, my mind just turns blank! At times, try to remember piece by piece of the idea but I am getting old maybe

Hahaha! Don't you worry oyenkai. It has happened to me too. There were times that I have been in such situation. Usually, when I am not doing any posting, I can think of some great topics to start with. When I am already online, it seems that I have forgotten some of the nice or great topics that I would want to post. So now, whenever I have some great ideas to start with and would not be able to post it right away, I usually write it on a scratch paper. When I get the chance to sign in, then I will be able to recall such topic.

Yes, it often happens to me. I just think another topic to do until I'll remember what I was thinking before.

This has happened to me many times, not only in forgetting the discussion I was going to post but every day things also like what I went into the kitchen for and things like that. It is very frustrating! They always say the mind is the first to go and I think mine moved out a long time ago!

You're telling me. At nights, I keep thinking of different things and then decide to open discussions with what I thought. When I'm actually here, I go all blank, and land up responding to others posts.

Wow, that is like the lady who went to wash her car. She came out of the kitchen, noticing that the flowers needed to be waterd, so laid her car keys down on the table, and then noticed the dishes hadn't been washed, so she ran a sink full of water, and then looking out the window, realized that she had not fed the dog, and well, she never did get that car washed. ha ha Just joking, but your discussion reminded me of a similiar joke, so just had to share that.

Yes, I have done that before, when I was writing on somebody's discussion, some idea poped up in my mind and I told myself not to forget to post after I finish this post. But by the time, I finish posting, I forgot completely... Since then, once I have ideas of posting a new discussions, I write it down just in case! I hink it is a good idea to remember the ideas so I won't forget and miss it! ;-)

Yes I have forgotten an idea that I had for a discussion. I have tried to write it down on a piece of paper so I can go to it later. But I sometimes still forget.

Yes, more than once. I keep promising myself to keep a TextEdit window open to record ideas immediately, but alas, I keep forgetting until, once again, I forget. I'm better when I leave the house; I take a notebook (and hopefully a pen as well! )

Aha, that's amusing. I also had the same experience sometimes. Not only on posting discussions, but also in doing other things. A great idea occurred to me suddenly. Just like you, I told myself to remember posting it later but then I forgot totally about it. At one moment, I kept in mind that I'd do something; but later I also forgot as if I've never had such an idea. This happened to me only yesterday. Before I left home, I said to myself that I must not forget to ask for shoe laces from a shop in which I bought a pair of shoes. Well, you know what happened. I didn't realize it until I returned. Now, to avoid that kind of things happening again, I use a notepad. I put down what I want to do in brief words to help me remember. Perhaps you can also try to note down your ideas.

That is really a shock oyenkai, imagine that it is only a matter of minutes that you have thought of a discussion and forgetting it. Maybe you were so much into the responding discussion that you really did forget about what new discussion you are going to write. But i am sure you will remember them. Happy thinking about it :)
