It happened in the office that new manager comes in. He started his duty without any calling a meeting for all of us in the office. We wonder subordinates why he do that. Might be he has plan for it . What about if you are the new manger, will you not open for meeting to recognize you in the office? You just let the member recogized you that you are the new manager. What can you share of these situation?

Hello geniustiger. If I were a new manager of the office, I would greet everyone in the office first to introduce myself to them all, which is the first very important step to make myself known and make them known to me. Then I would...Ok, let me do it this way as follows, Hello my fellow coworkers, I feel so honored to be one member of you all. Today I am very happy to introduce myself to you. I am ...from ... I am sure that we will be a very nice team working to attain our aim in our business with joint effort. I would like to invite you to make a brief self-introduction to all present here. (after the introduction) Now I would like to listen to you about this new program. Anyone who would offer his ideas about the program? Ok, let's welcome Geniustiger for her ideas...(then welcome the rest of the office coworkers to make a short speech about the program) I appreciate your ideas for the program and we need to give it some time for further consideration before we make the final decision. Ways may vary based on the situation then on the spot. hehehe. That is my imaginative remarks for my first day in the office as their manager. Please enjoy. Thank you, friend.

Personally If i was a manager the first couple days I'd spend time getting to know my job...some of the policies and things. Basically get settled...but I'd also make a point of taking the time to introduce myself to each employee...have a personal "interview" with them to get to know them and what they do for the company. I'd also take the time to get to know what customers are regular or expect special treatment (and got it under old management) THEN after a couple days after getting to know things...seeing what i think needs changing then i'd have a group meeting to cover my concerns and let the others voice theirs.
