You don't need height like in basketball. In boxing, you need strength. Bowling is also a game of coordination, accuracy, and timing. Bowling teaches discipline, which describes as the "very foundation of every winning athlete" in whatever sports. Bowling has also thought me the value of perseverance. It has taught me determination not to be intimidated.

hi there, bowling is a sport that you are practically competing against yourself. i like the sport. i always picture the lane to be wider than it really is and it usually works. i think more than anything, bowling depends on the consistency of your movement every frame of the game and the consistency of the mentality and focus of the bowler.

You are absolutely right. This sport is for everybody. And some doctors even advise this sport to not so young people after they had stroke.

Bowling is my favorite sport! Yes, it requires discipline, and the ability to throw the ball the same way every time (consistency). That's that hardest part for me!

Dear manayonboy, Bowling to me is more than just a sport. It need physical, body and mind's focus. I love bowling very much, be it the real one or on wii, computer or on handphone. But the best is still the real one at the bowling alleys! There is something very special that I felt about bowling, when you bowl it, you can actually knows that it will be a strike, or a spare just by watching it. Consistency, focus and the way you bowl is very important! Bowling is what I & my husband do during dating! So, it is more than just a sport :D Tks for this wonderful topic!

I was on my High School team for a short time, but I loved bowling... my highest score was 199... I might have gotten better had I remained with the team, but I became depressed and insomniac and with not enough players I ended up having to go to every game... although I loved bowling... and still do it just became to much especially when my grades began to suffer so I quit of my own volition in order to concentrate on my studies. I'm in College now, but I haven't gone bowling since I have enough on my plate... so I just play for leisure now.
