McDonalds is probably the most successful fast food restaurant in my area considering the total number of them here and just how many people are queuing up to buy something almost anytime anywhere. So, do you like going to McDonalds? I seldom go to them when I was still a kid because my family is so poor that we could not even afford. Since everyone was going except me, I always felt that eating out there was something nice. Then, I grew up and I was not that poor now. So, I visited McDonalds almost once a week. Yes, the food is not that good. The place is not the comfortable. But then, I just feel like going. What about you?

Yeah, I do enjoy going to McDonalds - but not often. I tend to go about once a month. It's not that the food isn't tasty enough because most of the time it is, but the fact its not very healthy to eat puts me off going often. McDonalds was my favourite fast food restaurant when I was a young child, but nowadays I like to go to KFC more. I don't think I went to KFC at all as a child as there wasn't one near me and I can only remember one of them, but despite McDonalds being closer nowadays too, I prefer going further for KFC. I do like buying McFlurrys from McDonalds, however.

I think both can be as unhealthy as each other. It just depends on what you buy.

Thanks for your reply. In fact I don't know which is less worse to our health. KFC or McDonald. The fact that KFC fries virtually anything seems not so healthy also as they use so much oil.

i like mc going to mcdonalds and i particularly likes their cheeseburger and fries...i don't know why, i just like it. but here in the Philippines McDonalds is not as popular as in other country because they have a tight competitor here which is Jollibee and i think it is more popular especially to kids...

i think so...you know they just can't beat Jollibee here because Jollibee really hits the taste of most Filipinos...especially kids...and because Jollibee is originated here...but whatever, i still like McDonald's cheeseburger more! wendy's also didn't do well here, i saw lot of their branches closed although they have a yummy burgers and their frostee ice cream...

Thanks for your reply. McDonald is really dominating the market here as it is so successful in forcing out all its competitors. Wendy's and Jolibee have tried but failed. I don't think it is that easy for anyone to challenge their position here.

Thanks for your reply. The economy downturn is weighting on people and it is no wonder that people are cutting their spending hard to prepare for even worse. The interesting thing is that the more we cut our spending, the worse it is for the retailers (they lose our businesses) and worse for their suppliers (fewer retailers need supplies) and so on. When the companies are getting less profits, they will cut more costing (such as cutting salaries or layoff people) and that in turns makes a weaker economy.

I think McDonalds is one of my favourite place to hangout. In my country Mcd is a great place to hangout and their foods are good for real. They give a generous amount for each meal. The burgers here are huge and for a quater pounder it looks more like a quater extra and their drinks, they allow us to refil with no limit to that and that makes me liking this place very much as I could hangout with my friend for more than four hours and just spend very little. When I was young, I also seldom have the chance to go to MCD as often as I am doing now.My parents used to be very strict saying that we are not allowed to have fast food but maybe once a year will do and that once a year is very much expected by us every year.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that the Mcd at your place is more generous than those here as I haven't heard of they are willing to refill drinks for us. In fact, if they do refill for us, I bet they will exhaust all drinks every single day.

I like going to McDonalds with my hubby and fellow sisters of my youth organization. The food is not that very good but its ok. The important is the time you spent with your friends and family at McDonalds.

Thanks for your reply. I think you have highlighted one of the most important point when we dine out: it is not the food. It is the people. The important thing is the moment we are sharing with the people we like but not how much tasty food we put into the mouth.

Well I don't like McDonalds.. Food is not so good, (my burgers are more tusty :P) I can say that the employes are very friendly but I don't like their food.. There are better fast foods, eventhough McDonalds is the top seller. If I need fast food, I'ld prefer something more quality. Maybe Goodys, much better in my opinion.

Thanks for your reply. I think most people share the same view as yours that McDonald simply don't know how to make burgers that tastes good. But then, they do make burgers and are offering at quite affordable price that many people (like me) are still willing to spend money on.

Yes...I like to go to McDonalds once a week. I like the place because it's clean and compy. I love ordering chicken burger and french fries. Sometimes I order spaghetti too.

Thanks for your reply. You have spaghetti from McDonald? Here, there are only burgers and french fries. There are also chicken but as I can see most people just pick burgers. It would be nice if we can have spaghetti here.

You've definitely hit on one of my favourite places to eat! I have to admit though that I have not eaten in McDonalds for some while now. I sure do miss the place and my favourite meal there is obviously the Big Mac Meal! I normally order a big mac meal and I also order another big mac by itself on top of that. There's just something about the taste that keeps you munching away! It's a great form of release for me, I get to relax there and the world slowly drifts by! I am into exercise as well though so I don't eat at McDonalds much nowadays. Andrew

Thanks for your reply. I also like the Big Mac as I always feel very much satisfied after taking one to my stomach. But then recently they have introduced a new burger that tastes better and I have to admit I have shifted my favorite.

I love McDonalds and i love it even more as it now provides more of a healthier option at my local McDonalds. Though i try not to go their to often to try save some money due to the economic crisis.

Thanks for your reply. I can see that most of us are saving money one way or another and the interesting thing is the fast food restaurants are actually getting more businesses than the good times as people are cutting the spending on decent restaurants and turn to the fast food shop. Judging from this, I must say I really want McDonald to lose businesses as soon as possible.

I used to love going to McDonalds about 15 or 16 years ago? In my country, they were good at that time, but I feel the quality of the foods is going down since then. I don't like to go there anymore. But when Burger King came back to my country, I definitely choose Burger King. The burgers taste better as well as the fries.

Thanks for your reply. In fact I believe that McDonald is good at quite a number of things and one of them is food quality. Don't get me wrong, they quality is not good, that's for sure. What they are good at is to make sure that they the quality is consistent. That is when I walk into a McDonald, I am pretty certain that it will be as "bad" as every other McDonald and then it will not be suddenly worse.

Thanks for your reply. Oh. You like chicken, then do you like KFC also? I mean they say they "Do chicken right". I expect that their chicken are better. I seldom order chicken at McDonald. In fact, I usually only order burgers. I am the kind of person who order the same food at the same restaurant always.

Thanks for your reply. I have once seen staff from KFC wearing the uniform and queue up at the McDonald waiting to make a purchase. I really want to ask is it because they are getting so bored of food from KFC or they just can't resist McDonald.

There's probably only couple reasons why McDonalds would be my choice of fast food. First of all the food is edible, not all that great but EDIBLE. Secondly, it's only couple minutes away from my house. Where I live we don't have too many fast food restaurants to choose from.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, they are just everywhere. They are so common that finding a McDonald is definitely easier than finding a nice restaurant. The interesting thing is that despite there are already so many of them, most of them are still very full.

I wouldn't say I like McDonald's per say. I will eat it and for a long time I had an association with it and disability rights activism which was bad for my waist line because every time I got lonely which was often when I first moved from PA to MA I would eat McDonald's as a comfort food. This ended when someone suggested I just get unlimited long-distance. Now, when I wanted my friends I could just talk to them instead of going and putting six thousand calories in my stomach.

I only go to Mcdonald's for their french fries. They're really good. Other than that - nothing...the foods are not good and healthy. Have you seen the movie "Supersize". You will not go to Mcdonald's anymore once you see that movie. Good post...take care.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't watched that movie but then I heard another story where a guy finish off the breakfast, lunch and dinner and McDonald only and you know what, he is just as slim as everyone else. So, I don't really know whether it is that unhealthy to have McDonald day after day.

I'm one person who does not like Mcdonalds at all and can say I have never had a Hamburger from them. The only thing I have had once in a blue moon were the french fries. I would pick Wendy's over McDonalds anytime.

Thanks for your reply. I also know many people who simply don't like to go to the McDonalds because there are just so many other places that are selling better burgers. And more importantly, the burgers at Mc are really not that tasty.

Yes, I also like going to mcdonalds. Mcdonalds hold such a happy place in my heart because I remember I always used to play and eat there when I was a child. I also like going back to Mcdonalds every once in a while because I simply love their fries. Sometimes, I purposely stop by Mcdonalds just to buy their fries then I am off again to wherever I am going.

Thanks for your reply. I bet that one of the most successful tactics of McDonald is to aim at the children. This gives them very happy memories and then they will influence their friends to go to McDonald with them. Then, the kids cannot visit the McDonald alone meaning their parents have to come with them so there are yet more businesses.

I wouldn't go to Mickey D's for hamburgers and fries - yuck! We have in-n-out for that! =P Envious? They have yummy burgers and even yummier fries. However, Mickey D's breakfast is not too bad at all, and their coffee, I'm pretty impressed. Also the snack wraps aren't too bad either - though I get sick of the wrap. I think it's just tortilla. Though I don't think it should be.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that McDonald is really trying hard to enter the cafe market and is aiming to take the market shared owned by Starbucks. I have read from a magazine that selling coffee is much more profitable than selling burgers.

McDonalds, yes they have the most successful food chains around the world!! They sell more than 35 million burgers per week, as I read in a magazine. I keep visiting that place when I feel bored of eating proper food and tired of monotonous schedule. Actually, I just eat a few stuffs there.

Thanks for your reply. I will just go to McDonalds when I need to eat along because it is quick. I also usually take the same burger almost every time. Above all, there aren't that many choices available.
