Why are some men afraid of responsibilty and marriage?

When I was little I often watch bachelor movies wherein a bunch of guys got stuck with being single because they're afraid theur life will end if they got married. Now, I know some guys who are old enough but still not ready to get married,well yeah they have girlfriends but they still aren't ready for a bigger responsibility. I keep on telling them that they are withholding a great responsibility because they have committed theirselves with their girlfriends...but they keep on saying that they still aren't sure of stuff whether she's the one or not..so what I say is then better be single if nothing is sure.. Does marriage really ends up everything?? Because I really think that yeah for sure it's a new phase of your life to begin with but it's not the end of everything and of fun...it's just the beginning of a new fun coming into your life you just have to learn to share those fun stuff with your better half..
