I just have to rant a little

Why is it people never take the time to read what they post on their blogs?
Then and than are different words and each has a different meaning.
Whether and weather are definitely different. Sometimes I am embarrassed for these
people. What really gets me is most of them are college grads or are in college.
What did our teachers do while they were in English class? Did they not notice these little mistakes or did they not care? Do the professors overlook these misused words?
Okay I know not everyone gets as upset about this as I do but it would be nice to read one blog that did not look like a fourth grader wrote it. Do these mistakes get on your nerves after seeing them over and over? Do you proofread your articles before you publish them?

I used to get upset at little grammatical errors. Then I realized that it's really no use, people are going to spell and type the way they want to. Sometimes it's just easier to type it in a certain way, there are so many people using slang, internet slang and just abbreviations in general that it's a norm to see on the internet. Then of course you've got to take into consideration that some of the people that post on the internet are not native english speakers, they learn in their own country or some come to ours to learn. It's a whole new language, so abbreviations, short cuts, whatever you want to call it, is either honestly a mistake, the way they remember it, or well something different altogether. The next time you see an error like this, comment and correct them, they may be happy for the correction, or they may disregard it but either way you've done something to atleast try to help the person out.

What's so funny about this is most are English speaking people.
It seems the people from other countries are much more aware of their writing than the people who were born here and went to school here. I see this a lot here on Mylot also. They use then or than when it should be the other. No blog should read like a text message from a phone.
