Someone told me that, once a person start donating blood for while, he/she must continue to donate blood at least once a month. Is it truth? I don't have much experience on donating blood. In the company I work for, there were many employees donating blood to the lab, because they will be compensated for $10 per tube. It is like a routine, a habit, you must continue on to accomodate your body. I just wonder if that is a truth? if you have any experience with it?

I only donate my blood twice before. And I never get paid for that. I donate it as a voluntary. Once at my university blood donation campaign and the other time is when my friends mom need some blood.
I really didn't like needle but if I have to donate my blood for some good reason, I would give it. It is good to contribute something to the society.

Absolutely my dear you must worry about giving your blood away because they have to put a needle in you arm and this could hurt you. Some people do not live other people to put needles in them and sometimes the needles can be dirty and you could pick up a nasty disease. Also you may find that you don't like the sight of blood and may pass out and that could hurt to so best to think about all these things very carefully my dear.

That's not even close to true. First, you can only donate once every 60 days to give the body time to manufacture red blood cells between donations. You may do it ever two months, or even longer. I've donated blood for over 40 years every couple of months and have a license plate that the red cross gave me that says I'm in the 10 gallon club. It's a good thing to do because blood is always needed for operations or accidents.

must continue to donate blood? NO! But donating blood must be done after 3-6 months not 1 month youll be anemic if you donated blood every month.
Its good if they have a compensation program but donating blood must be a personal sacrifice not a job.
donating blood for charity is better.
