Fight between my cat and dog

In our homes we generaly keep dog and cat as pet because both are loyal. But can cat and dog live together? Not always, my cat is very clever and my dog always try to chase her but never succeeds. But once they had a serious encounter. Even dog was more powerful but when cat gave a slap on his face he ran away. That was strage, have you also seen such incident?

A cat will aim to claw a dog on it's very sensitive nose and I have seen even an old cat (15 plus) see off a dog meany times her size by doing just that. I have also seen a cat, attacked by two terrier type dogs, slash both of them across the nose one after the other and send them both running. A dog can very easily kill a cat and if the cat does not get in that first strike, it'll not get another chance.

sometimes,the cat bullies the dog.the dog,being a sociable creature,would like to play with the cat.the cat either sees it as the dog crossing over his/her territory,so the cats hisses or chases the dog away.sometimes,the cat bullies the dog because it doesn't want to be ruled over by the dog which is bigger than him/her.sometimes,it's funny seeing a dog running away from a cat,which is obviously smaller than him/her.

That sounds like how my cat and dog are. My cat is vicious towards the dog and my dog always tries to play with him. It is really funny to watch!
