Scented Candles?

Do you like scented candles? What is your favorite scent in a candle? Have you heard of Yankee Candle? Yankee Candle is the absolute best brand of scented candle, and my absolute favorite scent by them is called "Fresh Cut Grass". For our first Christmas together my husband got me a gift pack that had 2 large candles and a bunch of little ones. After I used up those candles, we had a hard time finding that same scent, it seems Yankee Candle stopped making it. Yesterday we were at the mall, and for fun decided to go through the Yankee Candle store, and there I saw it. A very large jar candle that said "Green Grass". I took a sniff... sure enough, it's identical to my favorite "Fresh Cut Grass" scent!! Plus, it was on sale!! $15, normally it's over $20. I bought it! There was a really nice Lilac scented candle I liked too, but decided one candle was enough. Hopefully I don't have trouble finding that lilac candle next time I'm in the market!

I would love to be able to burn scented candles in the house. I have one big problem that has four legs and long hair. It's my Maine Koon cat Dinglebeary. He was eight months old when he finally found a permanent home with me...he had been in three abusive homes before that. Anyhow, he has a wonderful long beautiful tail with equally beautiful hair on it. When he first came into the house I would burn candles...until one night he was wandering by one of the candles and casually waived his tail over the flame and lit his tail on fire!!! I sprung to my feet and did the "Groucho" strut trying to catch the cat with the flaiming tail!!! . I finally caught up with him and managed to put his tail out before he got injured (but the house stunk of burnt cat hair for a few days). From that moment on I have NEVER burned another candle in the house. The cats won that round, so I use scented oils instead. My favorite is any one that smells like pine. I love the smell of a pine tree at Christmas time so if I can find pine scent I grab it fast. I also love the smell of fresh cut grass! I miss it a lot since I live out in the country where we don't have lawns per se. I get the delightful fregrance once a year when the neighbors mow their weeds. Sometimes I get lucky and we stop someplace in town where they are cutting grass...but that doesn't happen too often.

I have 3 cats myself, and 5 kids. I've never had an accident, thank goodness, and knock on wood that we never do. Normally we only use the candles late at night, and we always stay in the room, and keep the candles up high. They don't normally burn for more than an hour at a time either.

I adore scented candles and would have them lit up all day everyday if I could. I have had a few Yankee candles, but most of ours now is Home Interior and Glade brands. My all time favorite scent in Vanilla and my second favorite scent is Lavender or Lilac. I love the smell of the Lilac bushes in the spring when in bloom. I love the scents alot. Well, maybe luck will shine upon you again and you will find it..maybe it is because you had such patience with that cashier and so was rewarded with something you love and haven't had in awhile and would appreciate. Stranger things have happened.

I love scented candles. Though it seems like I light one and the scent wears out quickly. I'll have to look for the Yankee Candle brand though...maybe it'll turn out better. I also love the smell of fresh cut grass...it makes me think of my Dad. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I have tried a few scented candles over the years but I never seem to find any that actually smell once they are lit! I like to use oil burners as I can get lots of different smells for them. I use Body shop oils for it, they are gorgeous and the smell seems to last for hours. I have been invited to a candle party this week as well!

I used to get them every once in awhile but haven't in a while because we all really bad allergies to them. What ever they use to make them scented really bothers me and the 2 of the kids. The one I used to buy was a the black one...can't remember the name...(Midsummer's night maybe?). I always like that one a the fresh cotton? Obviously it has been a while since I have had any of them.

I have Sea Island Cotton body spray, shower gel, and lotion... a set hubby got me for Christmas. I do love the smell, nice and clean, but I'm tired of it now!! I still have so much of my spray, gel, and lotion to use, I'm avoiding it, lol!

I love scented candles. I don't really have a favorite scent though. I like to change it up alot. I would have to say my top 3 are clean linen, apples and cinnamon and ocean breeze scented candles. I was shocked when I got a home trends brand candle from walmart how good it smelled. I think that hometrends is walmarts brand for the candles. I got a vanilla one. I lit it and went upstairs. When I came downstairs it smelled like i had just baked a few batches of vanilla cup cakes. It was sooo good. I like to get linen ones alot but I changed it up and get different ones.

Hey kats! I love Yankee Candles too! They are definitely the best scented candles ever! We have one in the mall that I go to every now and then and I go crazy in there! I can only buy candles in there once in a while because they are so expensive! My girlfriend got me into going there! She loves their candles and I found out why! She would buy the small candles and she showed me how to take the wick out and cut them and melt them down so that they lasted longer! I love the "midnight" candle the best! I never smelled the one you're talking about, but now I have to go see if they have it in the store where I go! I haven't been there in about a year or so. I will check it out the next time I am in that mall!

I enjoy candles, but lately have been using the alternative candles like scentsy and... lol I don't know what my other machine is called. They just melt wax. My sister gave me the sentsy and my sister-in-law gave me the other machine. As for your yankee candles, they are very nice. I think they release different candles seasonally, so you may have to wait another year for your grass candle again. The more popular fragrances they keep year round. I think lilac is one that is permanent, but it may just be in the spring/summer. I don't know.

I love candles. I collect candles and I make my own candles. Butter cream is one of my favorite candles. Yankee candles is the one company that makes butter cream. And boy does it smell good. I like baked apple pie to. Blueberry smells good. Lily of the valley i like the smell of that. Lilac and a ton more.

I love scented candles too and I know the store Yankee Candle. I found them to be so expensive that is why I decided to make my own. I made them for gifts and for myself. I need to get back into to it. I have a few favorites scents - lilac, white gardenia and apple pie.

We sell them @ my work. And I did like them quite a bit but then I had kids and my kids are the type that won't leave anything alone whatsoever! So I figured why start the house on fire over a candle? I"ve been invited to alot of candle-lite parties but I don't bother since my kids don't know what "stop" means til they are hurt and then they just go back to doing it again. No wonder why I have all this grey hair!

I love the Yankee Candles! They smell so good and it lasts for so long. I don't think you should have trouble finding the lilac it's my favorite. I haven't seen the Fresh Cut Grass one but it doesn't sound like something I would like. I hope you enjoy your candle!
