Playing games often need to use a much more resources of your computer, that includes hard drive space, memory usage, virtual memory and more. But these are the basics for looking up on this since your husband loves playing, see to it that it will only run that game application and closing all other opened applications running from the background such as word where you are doing things.Closing them up before running game applications would make little difference but will improve the computer's performance.

i always delete unwanted files as soon as possible. i never let those garbage files occupy my memory disc. sometimes i forget to do it. then i make it sure that i could erase it the next earliest day. proper care makes our PC safe and last long time.

That's good, cleaning up unused files would make an organized filing system inside your computer. One good thing to do is that after deleting those files, try to check for hard drive defragment, in which it will sort up all your files keeping them more organized as we think when we deleted unused files. That would also keep your computer run smoothly at any time.

Yeah. I do keep my PC clean but mostly I use PC Cleaner software for that which removes the unnecessary files from the temporary folders. and once per 3-4 months I remove unwanted data from my hard disk.

When I used to have a smaller hard drive I used to be deleting content quite often, it got to the point where I was deleting stuff that I would have preferred to keep. Ever since I got a 1TB hard drive I has not had to worry about running out of space, so I have been doing a lot less deleting. If I wanted to I could clear a lot of space quite quickly.

i try to do that about once a month or so... i can notice when i need to. my computer will start running slow. i take a lot of pictures and they are high MB's because of my camera. so i save those on disk and stuff when i start getting too many on the computer. i download a lot of things but i try to take them off when i'm done with them or if i don't use them anymore. it really helps keep the computer running smoother and faster.

I remove unwanted files as soon as they become obsolete. I create many files, mainly excel spreadsheets, that are for immediate purposes only, so I usually delete them immediately after using them. I have seen many desktops with a myriad of old files or shortcuts, which is a very untidy display.

well once i got this strange virus that use to open a new internet explorer after 2 minutes. and that use to create a lot of problem. i tried a lot of antivirus softwares. but nothing was solving the problem. then i finally hard to completly re format my whole hard disk to get that thing off my hdd. the problem was that i formmated the disk but then all my partiotions were all infected and so even after a fresh installation the problem was not solved. then finally i erased the whol ehdd and then installed everyhitng again that made it possible. and also one thing that i have learned from that is that backup is the most important thing. i lost a lot of data at that time cause they were all infected and if i would have backed up the same then i would not have lost those.

Every morning, when I turn on my computer, I run the Comodo System cleaner which cleans off all the temporary files, cookies, caches, etc. It was free, so I don't mind using it daily. Anyway, it cleans everything up nicely, including the recycle bin so that my computer doesn't slow down. And it fixes my registry for free so that I don't get any crashes! http://linkbee.com/comodocleaner

I'm thinking that what I'd really like to do is to delete unused windows programs since I frequently clear out as much of the junk I accumulate either automatically where a program allows so, or manually, mostly with installation "leftovers". My computer is cleared of junk during shutdown or startup for some files so it is running "clean". For other files that I download, I sometimes will back them up before deleting them, but usually they are go on an external hard drive. My working Hard Drive only contains the most recent downloads, no older than a week.

I do not have the habit of deleteing the unused files in PC consistently, I only do clean up in my PC when the disc space is low or when the conputer perform very slowly. Also, everytime after I have deleted those unused files, I have the habit of empty the recycle bin. Also, I did disc defragment once a month.

I delete unused files at least once a week. Well I move the majority of them to a external storage unit. You never know if you'll need it again. But there are files that get deleted weekly. I also run virus, spyware, adware, etc programs once a week to free up space, get rid of anything that was picked up (lucky this doesn't happen but better safe then sorry), etc. I don't know what I would do without my computer and therefore I kind of baby it. :) LOL

Hi, As we all know a lot of files slows down the system as a whole,so I prefer to delete them once a fortnight. But then you never know when you may suddenly need one file which you earlier thought was useless,so I also back up the files in an external device in case I will need that in future

As soon as i see them hanging out on my computer, i will delete them. lol! I just hate unused files so i do delete them as often as i can even if it takes a lot of time. Asides from using CCleaner, i delete files manually. Usually notepad which i save things to be remembered next time like passwords and websites. Before i used to burn movies after watching but right now, i just delete them. They're piling my room. lol! They're piling my hard disk too.

I delete unused files when I saw it. I'd like to arrange/sort my hard drive once a month, which makes me feel well. My hard drive's capacity is 500 GB, it will be a mess if I don't sort once a month, because I have a lot of folders and files. I'd like to empty the recycle bin, like you. It's just a habit, haha! Happy mylotting, Flagella08.

I deleted unused files at least once in a week. Too much unused email only make my PC slow. Usually I delete unused files when finished my work with PC. After empty my recycle bin, I continue with maintenance.
